All great jumpers have one thing in common— great jump mechanics!

For some athletes this comes natural and for others it requires a
significant amount of learning and practice.
Just like mastering shooting mechanics can improve your shot, jump
mechanics mastery is a crucial step for improving your bounce! Keep
in mind, that we don’t want to become over-thinkers! Throughout the
program we have jump mechanics days where I want you to diligently
practice your mechanics. However, come game time these
mechanics MUST feel natural for you. If you are thinking about how
you jump you will likely decrease your vertical. Save the thinking for
the learning/practice stage and get enough reps that it becomes an
unconscious skill.
