Philosophy of Education
As a teacher there is a vital role you play in the classroom, but also in a child’s life. Your

role is to make sure that the child is getting the right kind of education and the right kind of

learning as well as making sure you are up to speed with what you are teaching. Providing

children with great education is important because then these children will go farther into life

knowing they had a teacher who cared about teaching them new things. Not only is it the

teachers job but it is also the job of the community to make sure your education is up to what is

supposed to be learned. If the community is falling behind with supporting the teachers or the

children, there will be no one to teach our children right versus wrong.

If we take a look at what the environment is in the classroom we need to look at how the

child is doing in the classroom. If the child is not comfortable to be themselves in the classroom

with the teacher as well as his or her peers, the teacher is not doing what they are supposed to be

doing.n The classroom should be a positive safe environment for the child to come into every

day. Some of these children this is their only time to escape their home lives, if they child does

not feel safe with the individuals in the room the teacher is failing at making it a safe positive

space for the children. Making sure that the classroom is safe is not just abo9ut how different

children are behaving, but how the teacher is handling everything. If the child needs specific

things from the teacher then they should feel safe enough to ask for those things from the teacher.

When a child is learning just to pass a test they are not learning to comprehend what is

being taught. In my classroom I will make sure that every child fully understands what they are

learning, they will not come to school worrying about what they are going to be learning. I will

make sure that the students are comfortable learning what is being taught and feel fully

comfortable testing it. It is crucial they learn what they are being taught and not just little parts of

it. When a child as young as 4 is going to school and they can not tell what they are learning

they tend to not want to participate in the classroom with all of the students. They will fake it

instead of actually learning and trying.

I plan to teach in a way where every child feels comfortable coming to school everyday.

Not just when they want to come to school but when they are not understanding they can come

to me for whatever they may need. I plan to be a support system for any child who may need

someone in their corner. Not only can they come to me for any problems they are having but

also when they need something or someone to talk to. I plan to be a teacher that can tell you

anything. I plan to make sure they are learning to learn and not to just pass a test. I will be the

teacher I know I can be for my future class.
