INTRODUCTION

AMARILLA: A pleasant morning to everyone, especially to the most handsome Mr. Bolilan. I am
Jenna Amarilla

SENDIN: I’m Josea Cassandra Sendin

VALLES: And I’m Jared Valles..

AMARILLA: And we are here on behalf of the colorful minds of Group 3 to present and
enlighten you with the wonders of our poster, with the theme: “Achieving a common goal
through unity and creativity”

AMARILLA - 1ST EXPLANATION (THE GOLDEN BORDER)

Now as you can see here on our poster, it is encapsulated by a golden border, representing that
everything within this poster is driven by our mission to succeed and excel. It conveys the true
intentions that lie within every goal that we set our sights upon, to gain something: it can be
experience, wealth, trust, or knowledge.

VALLES - 2ND EXPLANATION (THE FOUR ICONS)

Now I’m sure that one of the many details you first set eyes upon are the four main icons on top
of the poster. Now, these four drawings signify the dream professions that each and every
member of my group are on their paths to pursue. As you have noticed, we have the brain, the
house with a pencil and a ruler, the caduceus which is a staff with two snakes coiled around it
symbolizing medicine, and the trophy with a village on top of it.

● The first one is a brain, representing psychology, as me and my fellow member, dream of
pursuing in the future to help those in need of psychological help by offering them quality
treatment with compassion and empathy
● The second one, representing architecture and electrical engineering, both concerned
with the studies of creating a structure based on physics and mathematics, making sure
that every plan, wiring system, and design is up to the very best of their standards.
● The third one signifies the medicinal and dental prospects that my fellow members plan
on achieving in the future. Creating a future of service for the people in need to help
them with optimal healthcare service.
● And lastly, the trophy with a row of houses, representing real-estate and the process of
developing raw lands and renovating properties to increase and create good sales.
SENDIN - 3RD EXPLANATION (THE HEART)
Next is the heart formed by two shaking hands, symbolizing unity, agreement, oneness, and
community, enveloped around a golden ribbon, which is perfectly placed in the heart of the
poster. It is meant to symbolize the kindness, ambition, passion, and hard work that each and
every one of us need to value the most in order to achieve success in life. It also represents
charity, the act of giving and providing blessings to other people in need. To give back and help
when we are most capable of helping.

VALLES - 4TH EXPLANATION (THE GRADUATION TOGAS & SILHOUETTES)

Now as you can see here, we have a pair of people on each staircase. Each wearing graduation
togas with different colors, representing the colors of the universities and colleges we are aiming
to enroll in, in the future. The first pair wore the green colors of the La Salle colleges, the second
pair dressed in the University of the Philippines’ vibrant red, the third pair in UST’s strikingly
yellow hues, and the fourth pair in Ateneo’s basking blue colors.

AMARILLA - 5TH EXPLANATION (THE PSYCHOLOGY AND ARCHITECTURAL

STAIRCASES)
After that, we have the first two staircases in our poster. Now, the reason why we used
staircases as a symbol in our poster, is because staircases only go in two specific directions,
towards up and down; and in order to achieve success, we must take everything with a rational
thought, step-by-step in order to reap the ripe fruits of our hard work. You might have also
noticed that each staircase has a different number of steps, inconsistent but still moving in a
specific direction. It symbolizes that everybody moves at a different pace, at a different time, and
at a different pattern. Not everyone is walking on a linear path, not everyone is sure, that’s why
each and every single one of us must do things in our own time and at our own pace.

As you can see here, the first staircase is covered with black goo/liquid with pink rusts. It
symbolizes the mental distresses that drive an individual to pursue psychology. The curiosities
of human behavior and the want to help others overcome their mental struggles. The black goo
represents mental struggles like depression and anxiety.

The next staircase is covered with bundles of cash blowing away, broken pencils and rulers,
signifying the enormous amount of money that an architecture student spends and the
frustrations of starting from scratch every time their draft or design fail to reach their desired
outcomes.
SENDIN - 6TH EXPLANATION (THE MEDICINE AND REAL ESTATE TROPHY)
Next naman, we have the medicine staircase, which is covered in clocks and time. Because as
we all know, pursuing medicine requires a decent amount of time. With 5 to 6 years of study
waiting for our future doctors and dentists. But I do know that aside from the lengthy time of
study, it is the passion that is burning inside of a student that truly ignites their path to becoming
a student of medicine, yes, every course takes time to accomplish, and it should be. In order to
become a professional, you must go through the work that it takes to become a professional.

As for the real estate staircase, it is smothered in flames in every step. Symbolizing the fiery
business and work ethic that a real estate agent must commit to in order to achieve the sales
and goals they want. It also symbolizes the amount of leisure and quality time with their loved
ones that they have to sacrifice in order to perform and do their responsibilities as a business
person.

VALLES - CONCLUSION
Okay, thank you Sendin and Amarilla. Now I shall conclude the message of our poster by
discussing brief details about our design. So of course, the golden border represents our
common goal to succeed, and the four icons represent each and every single one of my group’s
dream professions. The graduation togas worn by the figures in the drawing are color coded
according to the universities or colleges we’d hope to enter in the future. The heart is
symbolized by charity and compassion and the staircases represent the metaphorical obstacles
that all of us would need to go through in order to achieve success. And with that, I want to
leave you all a message [ANECDOTE ABOUT YESTERDAY]. Have a vision, and even if there's
a slight little voice in your head that tells you to pursue your dream, listen to it, because that
voice will grow louder. Move at your own pace, wag magmadali, life is all about learning. Have
faith in yourselves that you can do it.

Good morning everyone, we are the members of Group 3 and thank you for listening.
