Dear Martin,

How are you? Guess what! I’m on a three-week safari in

Zambia with my parents! So far, we’ve spent seven days
at the South Luangwa National Park. It’s a beautiful
place, and we’ve already seen lots of wildlife here, like
giraffes, elephants and zebras.
Last night, our guide took us on a three-hour night drive
around the park. It was very dark and people in the
group were afraid. But not me! It was a fantastic
experience because we had the chance to see lots of
animals. Some of them are usually difficult to find during
the day, like hippos! But we were lucky and managed to
see one. We saw some lions, too. They were drinking
water from a river, so we parked the jeep to take some
photos. One of the male lions was interested in us and
came really close to the jeep. Everyone thought he
might jump in! We didn’t wait around to see. We quickly
drove away!
I’ve taken so many photographs. I can’t wait to show
them to you!

That’s all for now!

Writing
Imagine you’re on holiday at a holiday resort. Write an email to a friend. Answer the
following questions:

• How long have you been there?

• What did you do yesterday? Did you enjoy it?
• What have you done so far today?

Dear Maggine,

Me and my family went to a sari two day ago. I had many things interested to tell you. In there, we saw
a lion drinking coke, a hippo playing volleyball. Yesterday, my family and I came to the safari again to
take pictures with a bear. We all enjoyed it. We’ll do in one month, the reason why I want to stay here
more is because today I still have not seen all the animals in the safari.

Your friend,

Nhat Thong
