What’s the best city in the
world?
A You can’t do better than Wellington, the capital of New
Zealand. It’s relatively small and easy to get around and for
its size, it has a lot to offer. I’d like to home in on just a few
of the reasons why. If you’re into outdoor activities, try sea
kayaking, mountain biking, walking in the hills around the
city or relaxing on the beach at Oriental Bay. My favourite
hike was the Mākara Peak walk, which is well worth the
effort for the stunning views you get. If culture is more
your scene, Wellington has many galleries, theatres and
museums – don’t miss the incredible interactive museum
Te Papa. Wellington is also renowned for its
award-winning restaurants and food trucks. Lastly, if
you’re a film fan like me, then you can go on a tour to some
locations from the Lord of the Rings films.
