Team Wins Gold Medal
at SEA Games 2023
Winner : The Indonesian national soccer team wearing a gold medal on the
victory podium of the 2023 SEA Games, Cambodia Tuesday (16/5/2023).
The U-22 national team won the gold medal at the 2023 Cambodia SEA
Games after a 32-year wait. This victory was not easy after going through
various rounds to the final. In the 2023 SEA Games soccer final, Indonesia
fought Thailand with a final score of 5-2 for Indonesia. This match is
considered the best match in the SEA Games final.

Even so, this match was also colored by
chaos. The minutes have passed into extra
time, but the referee has not blown the long
whistle. The national team thought the whistle
was a corner kick for Thailand to mark the
end. This made the U-22 team's
concentration break and made the Thai team
equalize the score.
Thailand lost another player after Teerasak
received a second yellow card in the 18th
minute. Finally Indonesia closed the match
with a 5-2 victory thanks to a goal scored by
Beckam Putra in the last second of extra time.

increase. The gold medal contribution from the
green field makes Indonesia ranked third, by
collecting 87 gold medals, 80 silver medals, and
109 bronze medals.
This is a source of pride for Indonesia, not
only because it won 3rd place in the Cambodia
2023 SEA Games, but also because Indonesia's
victory on the green field that has been awaited
for 32 years has finally paid off.
