Everything You Need to Know about Politics

Politics is a well-known group or sector of the society associated with activities and
decisions, pertaining to the economic distribution and management of resources under the
influence of the government in a state or country. Throughout the time, attempts regarding the
concept of politics and ways become debatable in which it should be carried out in a proper
manner to develop such policies and whereas to prevent conflict in the society.
(So why is it important to determine and understand your own political view?)
Many people believe that the youth is the root for change. Thus, how come that the
grown-ups tend to ignore the voice and scream of the youth? Knowing that they also gone-
through in that situation? In the Philippines, politics is one of the controversial topics and crucial
issues that people discussed, particularly during the election period. Whether in any gender,
ethnicity, age, individual’s background and status, politics is relevant. However, Philippine
politics is the starting point of extensive and widespread contrasting information of perspectives
that is usually based on each individual’s knowledge and capacity. Therefore, for many years of
experience and mainly through the history, Philippine politics have been viewed as a political
disappointment and den of inequity, resulting into political and economic instability in which
affects the marginalized Filipino citizen. In such, the persistent increase of corruption, graft,
political dynasties, political killings and election anomalies are the primary cause of
dissatisfactions, arising poverty, injustice system, low education, inflation, unemployment,
improper allocation of funds and economic instability.
According to some economists, Philippine is classified as a “Flawed Democracy”,
wherein the rules and justice is generally favored to rich, high-status and elite people. Thus, the
Philippines is a Republic country, it is the duty and responsibility of the Filipino citizens to
rightfully choose a ruler that will effectively and efficiently execute a systematic plan to render
public needs.
As for me, politics is a matter of broad privilege conferred by the power and authority,
hence, with the vested power and authority comes with the great responsibility. Additionally,
political views of each individual are essential, whereas it is a stand-point to determine a person’s
interest and adherence, particularly the worth of advocacy and empowerment of good
governance. Nevertheless, as one of the youths that serves as the tool for communication in
encouraging and influencing people for transparent discussion of good political governance to
improve and enhance better system, it is my duty to implement and apply the appropriate
criticism, harbor knowledge and distinguish factors that might impact and mold the minds of my
fellow citizen.
