Research Technical Design

The researchers carried out a developmental and experimental form of

research in order to determine the physical properties as well as the effectiveness of

the development and optimization of a water hyacinth shredder for efficient waterway

management. In addition, this study could be particularly helpful for the residents of

Talim Island because it could determine whether shredding will be an effective way

to improve waterways, which are crucial for transportation.

Developmental research is a systematic study of design, development, and

assessment processes with the goal of providing an empirical foundation for the

production of instructional and noninstructional goods and tools, as well as new or

better development models. This method employs a wide range of methods,

including qualitative and quantitative techniques, as well as a thorough examination

of the literature (Richey & Klein, 2014). This research, relevant and development-

oriented, focused on an overall analysis of design development or evaluation

processes, either as a whole or as components. The goal of this research was to

identify the changes and discuss developments that will result from the investigation.

The study also aimed to make a significant contribution to the overall progress of the

field and provide a foundation for model design or conceptualizing and theorizing.

This study relates to different processes that will perform design,

development, and evaluation activities in helping the study develop a new innovative

process to perform its progress throughout the whole procedures of this research

that must meet criteria of internal consistency and effectiveness. The procedures can

be used to create a product that will be used for cutting water hyacinth. The primary
considerations of the researchers are the physical properties of the product to be

developed as well as its effectiveness.

The research is an experimental approach, which is a scientific method of

conducting studies, in which one or more independent variables are manipulated and

applied to one or more dependent variables in order to determine their effect on the

latter. The effect of independent variables on dependent variables is typically

observed and recorded over time to assist researchers in attaining a reasonable

conclusion regarding the relationship between these two variable types. A correlation

between a specific aspect of an entity and the variable being studied is either

supported or rejected after an experimental research study is completed. The

success of experimental studies is dependent on researchers confirming that a

variable change is due primarily to the manipulation of a constant variable.

This study will ascertain if controlling water hyacinth by shredding is effective.

Shredding is less harmful than hand removal and might be an effective control

approach because it requires less effort. The experimental research design provided

the required investigation to acquire the necessary data needed for the analysis of

the developed product’s physical properties and its effectiveness.
