What does the school do to achieve it’s vision and mission?

Nurture Intelligences:

1. Teachers gives us a lot of choices tapping our different intelligences in producing our PT output.
The Intelligences: Bodily Kinesthetic, Visual/Spatial, Musical, Naturalistic, Intrapersonal,
Interpersonal, Mathematical/Logical, Verbal Linguistic
2. PEX – They hone our intelligences through PEX (Performance for Excellence) (This year, PEX was
revived, but not every week.)
3. During face-to-face classes, when presenting a lesson, the teachers also tap our multiple
intelligences. For example, the teacher would divide us into groups, and they let us interpret our
understanding about the lesson through drawing, songs, drama, etc.
4. Yearly Stage Play
5. CHILD TALK where we are asked to deliver our own message to the whole school.
6. School Contests every month

Childian Virtues:

 Virtue - A commendable quality, Morally upright

1. Recitation of the Childian virtues every Flag raising and lowering ceremony.
2. The school has adopted a Positive Behavior Support system in disciplining the students (CHILD
positive behavior support) where in the teachers, faculty, and staff, try to catch us doing good
instead of punishing us when we do something bad. The school awards “Pupil of the Week” and
Pupil of the Month”. The basis for determining the “Childian of the week” and “Childian of the
Month” is based on the Childian Virtues. The “Childian of the week” gets a ribbon and
recognition during flag lowering, and the “Childian of the month” gets to eat Ice Cream with the
principal.
3. The teachers rephrase their instructions in a positive way.
4. Cheerful - The teachers teach and encourage us to greet everyone cheerfully. We also have
Positive Self Affirmation
5. Honest - We also have the Childian Academic Integrity Pledge.
6. Inquisitive -The teachers arouse our curiosity by asking us questions.
7. Innovative - We have market day where we sell our unique products, and Financial Literacy,
where we are trained to manage a business.
8. Leader - boy scouting and girl scouting, collaborative learning, SSG
9. Doer – The teachers assign us to certain classroom chores and classroom job applications.

Discipline:

1. Before, we had a lot of students who were kicked out of their previous schools because they
have done terrible things, but CHILD was able to tame them.
2. The school does not implement punity discipline. The school spouses the PBS, where in they
highlight those who do good, instead of humiliating those who do bad.
3. Bullying is not rampant is because of the PBS. We are taught to respect one another. The school
has a SPED program, but they are exposed to regular students so that we can play with them.
We have a an Expert Player activity, where we play with the students from SPED so that we can
form friendships with them instead of bullying them and making fun of them.
4. At the start of the school year, we are taught about the codes of Behavior
