Online education

In recent years, online education has become a significant part of students' lives. Ever since
the pandemic happened, online education has become more common. Many schools and
universities were forced to switch to online studying in 2020, including my high school.
Online studying has had a significant impact on my life, affecting how I deal with my tasks
and my study methods. In Daphne Koller's TED talk, we can hear about many benefits of
online education, and while I agree with her on how it can help people, I also think that it can
only be helpful when executed successfully. Our school system was not prepared to go
online, so it did not feel beneficial. Daphne Koller started looking into online education well
before the pandemic started, so she was not rushed into it. When we started with online
studying, we were only given Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. We were told
to look at them and then do our homework. That went on for three months, for three months
we did not have to study, so naturally, we didn't. If you were to ask about any of the material
normally studied at that time, I wouldn't be able to tell you about it. It did get a little better
the next school year when they introduced Zoom or a plan in which we spent a week online
and a week in school. But it was still not executed successfully. In conclusion, online
education can be very helpful to many people around the world, but only if done well. If not,
it can have negative consequences and provide few helpful results.
