1. DMS Program Introduction

 Menus & Functions
This program supplies following functions by
carrying out the communication with the e-EPOS
controller installed to an excavator and IBM
interchangeable PC of a user.

• Monitoring
Monitors the current information/data which e-
EPOS
controller has.
• Graph
Shows the major sensor data of excavator as a graph, and can save the data to the hard disc, making it
possible
to check the status of the excavator by analyzing and comparing.
•Test
Carry out various simulation by activating the output signal from e-EPOS controller by force
• Diagnosis
Shows current failure information and past ones which e- EPOS controller has.
• History
enables to analyze the working trend or style, which shows the operating hours as per each work mode
and used 3
hours of filter & oil.
13 DMS (Data Monitoring System)

 Hardware Connection
• To carry out the communication between e-EPOS controller
and external PC, cable for communication is necessary.
• This cable should connect the test connector of an excavator
and the COM port of the user’s PC.
• Note) When connecting or disconnecting the cable, the power
of excavator should be off.

 DMS Program Installation

• Minimum Requirement
To run the SMS program properly, necessary specification of the PC is,
- 256MB memory (min)
- IBM interchangeable PC with WIN98(or WIN2K, WIN XP)
- Processor with PENTIUM II 400MHz (min)
Ref.) Recommended option : Memory over 256MB Pentium 4

• Installation
DMS program will be installed automatically by SETUP.EXE.. Only in the case that you don’t have the
normal
monitoring, graph output, you need to install the program manually.

2. Environment Setting
 Communication Environment Setting
• To carry out the communication with e-EPOS properly, all the communication data of this
program should be set correctly. (USB2seril user ; refer to ‘Installation of Comm.Port’ on the
following page)
• How to set the Communication Environment
• Select [Set] - [Comm. Set]Available communication
Baud Rate : port Available
• Set each data as follows. 57600 BPS communication
