You read the above headline in a leading daily newspaper and are appalled by
the callous attitude of the authorities and corporates towards environmental
issues. Write an article on the impact of deforestation in about 150-200 words.

Deforestation means cutting down large part of trees in a forest for

many reasons like logging, agriculture, natural disasters,
urbanization and mining. As we know forests are the house of
many animals, deforestation destroys the forest which result too
many deaths of animals as there are not able to survive elsewhere.
Deforestation is negatively impacting the ecosystem. It is causing
soil erosion, disturbing the water cycle and even the amount of
oxygen produced by trees is decreasing. Due to which Global
warming is increasing. It also reduces the quantity and availability
of renewable resources, fruits, nuts etc. Deforestation is destroying
are environment which effects are ecosystem a lot.
