Apply Your Aadhaar: A Step-by-Step Guide

Introduction

Steps

1. Pre-Register Online:
• Go to https://uidai.gov.in/
• Select your language.
• Look for the "Get Aadhaar" section and open it.

• You will get many options . You have to select Book Appointment (It is MANDATORY to
visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Center for biometric capture and document verification)

• You will see 2 ways by which you can book an appointment.

2. Login by your Mobile number or Email ID

• Go to New enrolment

3. Fill your all Details (Name, Age, Gender, Address)

Attach your Proof of Identity and address.

OR
Enrol with relative’s Aadhaar number

• Fill Address Details

4. Book Appointment

• Click Book appointment and search Enrolment centre and Book appointment

• Choose the Timings and Date

5. Download your Aadhaar card (after it's processed):

• While a physical Aadhaar card will be mailed, you can download a soft copy from the UIDAI
website [UIDAI Download Aadhaar] once it's ready. You'll need your Enrolment ID or
Aadhaar number for this.
• Go to STEP 1 (Point 4)

Additional Notes

• Aadhaar enrolment is completely free.

• The UIDAI website has resources available in multiple languages
• Carry a water bottle and any medications you might need during the visit.

Update Your Aadhaar : Step-by-Step Guide

There are 2 ways to Update Aadhaar details.

Method 1:

1. Go to https://uidai.gov.in/
2. Select your Language
3. Go to Update Aadhaar

- From here you can Update your Address

1. Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 of Apply Your Aadhaar.

2. But instead of choosing New Enrolment you have to choose

Steps

1. Go to https://uidai.gov.in/
2. Scroll down in the Get Aadhaar tab and there you will find Order Aadhaar PVC Card.
