Comment 1: One concerns I have is related to the sample size used in your study.

The small sample size

may limit the generalizability of your results and could potentially affect the statistical power of your
analyses.

Comment 2: I must highlight a discrepancy between the results presented in the paper and the conclusion
drawn. In the results section, it is mentioned that 27 cases showed complete remission of the lesion, while
the remaining 4 cases displayed a reduction in the size of the lesions. Nevertheless, in the conclusion, it is
stated that Betamethasone and dexamethasone intraregional corticosteroids injection can be considered as a
non-surgical intervention for treatment procedure in mucocele.

Comment 2: Furthermore, I suggest discussing the possible reasons for the varying responses observed in
the study population. Factors such as lesion size, patient characteristics, and the duration of follow-up
could be relevant factors to consider when interpreting the results and drawing conclusions.

Comment 4: Please add detail if registered study on PROSPERO

1. The area was disinfected with 0.1%iodine; a topical anesthetic was applied to cover theentire lesion for
approximately 3 minutes, 1 ml ofdexamethasone (4 mg/2 ml) was injected into thebase of the lesion with
an insulin needle [Figure 2].After injection, micromarsupialization was performedto drain the mucus and
reduce the size of lesion

2. In this patient, 1 mlof dexamethasone 8mg/2ml was injected into the baseof the lesion under local
anesthesia. After injection, micromarsupialization was carried out to drain themucus and reduce the size of
lesion.

3. Firstly, surface local anaesthesia was applied and mucus aspirated with the help of 18-gauge needle and
a syringe. Then 1 mL of betamethasone (4 mg/1 mL) was slowly injected by insulin syringe (0.3∗8 mm
size, 31 gauges) to prevent any leakage, less discomfort, and pain

4. Under strict aseptic precaution, using 18- Gauge needle and syringe the cyst was aspirated and the
mucus was removed. This was followed by injection of 1ml of Inj. Betamethasone (4mg/ml) using insulin
syringe. Injection was given very slowly into the base of the cyst.
