Judul Artikel : The Effect of Using Digital Storytelling on Developing Active Listening and
Creative Thinking Skills

Robin (2008) has conducted a study that aimed to investigate teachers' usage of digital
storytelling in classrooms and detect the effect of this usage on students. This study's findings
present that digital storytelling is a good, useful tool in combining instructional messages and
learning activities to create a more engaging, exciting, and enjoyable learning environment. It
is a successful strategy for creating a positive and constructive learning environment that
integrates modern teaching and learning principles. Thus, this strategy focuses on enhancing
the student's engagement level and paves the way to a more successful educational experience
and journey for learners.

Digital storytelling effectively brings children's attention in listening to topics, increases their
concentration in events, and makes them feel engaged in an enjoyable and entertaining
environment. Through listening and watching, digital storytelling enables them to imagine and
then to identify the similarities between characters in reality to the ones of the story (Simsek,
2020). It also contributes to enhancing the ability to analyze and criticize better than hearing
the story in a traditional style, as well as; children learn through digital storytelling how to
arrange thoughts chronologically, form meaningful sentences, and tell stories after watching
and hearing the story (Lisenbee & Ford, 2018) .

Robin (2005) indicated that one of the most powerful tools in multimedia is digital storytelling.
Digital storytelling, like traditional storytelling, revolves around a chosen theme. Students
conduct some research, write a script, and develop an interesting story. However, there is
significant difference between digital storytelling and traditional storytelling. Digital
storytelling is supported by a variety of digital multimedia. Digital stories bring together a
mixture of graphics, text, recorded audio narration, video and music to present information on
a specific topic through the use of technology

1) Point of view Told for a specific purpose or to make a point for a given audience.
2) A dramatic Question Gives a reason for the audience to stay interested; answered question
by the end of the story.
3) Emotional content Images, tone and effects connects the story to the audience.
4) The gift of your voice Personalizes the story for the audience to help them to understand
the context.
5) The power of soundtrack Music or other sound that supports the storyline and
conveys emotion.
6) Economy Uses just the necessary elements to tell the story.
7) Pacing Controls the story; and how slowly or quickly it unfolds.

MENUMBUHKAN KEBIASAAN ANAK MINUM AIR

Menurut (Piaget dan Kohlberg, 1969) dalam (Subadrah.M.N, Najeemah. M. Y, 2014),
penggunaan metode story telling cocok untuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran Pendidikan
pembiasan, terutama di kalangan anak-anak. Menurut (Sugiyono, 2016) selain dengan teks
naratif, dapat pula berupa grafik, matrik, network (jejaring kerja), dan chart.
Pengembangan digital story telling merupakan media pembelajaran multimedia yang
digunakan guru untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dalam bentuk story telling yang
dituangkan dalam bentuk aplikasi digital yang dapat di share melalui channel you
tube,supaya media tersebut dapat dilihat dan disimak secara daring oleh siswa dan orang tua
kususnya dalam pendampingan proses pembelajaran anak usia dini.Penyajian media digital
story telling meliputi materi isi,teknik story telling dan desain yang tertuang dalam sebuah
tayangan edukasi vidio pembelajaran
