Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) has been declared as a Deemed to be university, u/s 3
of the UGC act, 1956.There has been persistent endeavor to achieve excellence and
carve out a niche in the national and global education map.
SOA comprises ten faculties, which offer specialized technical and professional
programs in different disciplines. Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University)
has been awarded Rank 16 in University category and Rank 30 in overall category by
National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India. SOA has been accredited by National Assessment
& Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A++’ Grade with a cumulative score of 3.88 out
of 4.00.
Different faculties of SOA have been duly approved by their respective statutory/
regulatory bodies. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral
programs in Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing,
Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Hospital Administration,
Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Legal studies, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences &
Animal Husbandry. SOA is proactive in its approach to understand and meet the
changing requirements of students, employers and the community at large. It aims at
maintaining continuous learning, improvement and transformation in technical and

 At a time when a lot is being done in our state to encourage
sports and sportspersons, it is excellent to know that Siksha ‘O’
Anusandhan is organizing the ‘SOA Sports Meet 2003’ from March
16th to 19th, 2023.

The national level sports fest, which has the theme ‘Sports for World
Peace’, is expected to attract more than 5000 student athletes from
across the country from different educational institutions. I am
confident that the event will provide a boost to sports activities
among students.

is passing through tumultuous times.

Sports bring discipline in life. It teaches the values of

dedication, patience and how to handle failure. Playing various sports
helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership,
accountability, patience and self-confidence and prepares them to
face life challenges. Students get a chance to work on their physical
and mental abilities to achieve goals in their life. As such sports are
important part of education.NEP 2020 envisages sports as part of
curriculum, lays emphasis on sports- integrated learning.
I am happy that our University sports wing is going to publish
an Annual Report on different sports event conducted at University
level. The students, faculties and officials of our University and other
statutory bodies can have a glance of our sports activities as part of
curriculum.

SOA SPORTS MEET 23 General Championship

The following rules will be considered for the general championship. Winners, runners-up, a

Important Rules
 All teams should report 30 minutes before the scheduled time at the respective
venues for the fixtures. The team will not be allowed to play their matches if they
reach the respective venue 15 minutes after their scheduled match.
 Misconduct on and off the held at any point during the event will result in
disqualification from the tournament.
 Matches will be delayed if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
 For the Inauguration Ceremony, sports uniform & Flags of respective
colleges/universities are necessary and it is compulsory for all the participants to
participate in the March Past.
 Every participant must present the previous year’s mark sheet when demanded
by the respective event head and on the registration desk.
 The teams will be required to submit a Unique ID (ERP) of their respective
college/university for each player in print or digital format prior to the onset of
the event
 Any participant with the backlog in any final year paper will not be allowed to
participate.
 Minimum Six teams from Six different colleges/universities are required for the
conduction of an event.
 All matches will be played according to the Federation rules of respected games.
 In case of a protest, submit Rs. 3000/- as a protest fee and a protest application
before or within half hour after the match ends.
 Age limit is 27 for engineering colleges and private universities.
 Registration for an event from engineering college/ private university must be
done at one time. For an event, only one team from each engineering
college/private university can register. and the team list should be approved by
the authorities of the engineering college / universities. Multiple entries from one
engineering college/private university will not be accepted.
 Once the team list is submitted at the time of registration, no changes will be
allowed.
 The decision of the referees/umpires will be final and in any case of dispute, the
captain should contact the event in-charge or the organizers.
 Any changes in the schedule or timing of the match will be at the discretion of
the organizers
 First Aid Kit and Ambulance will be provided by our University.
 The organizing committee reserves the right to make any changes.
 One player can play a maximum of 2 sports, irrespective of the category they are
playing in. In case of a clash in match timings, it is the player s responsibility to
inform the event heads or organizers as soon as possible.
 Contact details of the coach/manager should be provided along with the team list.

Rules & Regulations

Cricket
• The tournament will be played as per ICC rules and Regulations.
• All the matches will be played on White leather ball.
• Umpire’s decision will be final decision.
• All the matches will be played of 20 overs match. If any delay is occurred then
overs may reduce as per Umpires decision, keeping on view the circumstances.
• 6 overs power play will be there where maximum 2 fielders are allowed outside
the 30yard circle and after that max 5 fielders are allowed outside 30yard circle.
• If the fielding team fails to complete the innings in the stipulated time given by
the match officials on the match day, a Penalty will be imposed: Every team
must report 30 minutes prior to start time of the match.
• Coloured jersey is mandatory.
• Any indisciplinary behaviour during the match with officials, players and
volunteers including late arrival for the match will result in walkover for the
opponent team.
• In cases of Tie Matches, Super over will be played, again if tied in super over-
Boundaries of the match will be on count, if still tie then less no of wickets will
on count if further ties then it will be decided through Toss.
• Rules and Schedules are subject to the change in the spirit of game.
• The final decision in all matters rests with the SOA University Organising
Committee members.
Basketball
• Maximum 12 players are allowed to participate.
• In case of a tie, 5 minutes of extra time will be allotted.
• Teams should ensure a uniform jersey for all players.
•
Volleyball
• Maximum 12 players are allowed to participate.
• In the case of three sets, the third set will be of 15 points.
• Teams should ensure a uniform jersey for all players.
Kabaddi
• Maximum 12 players are allowed to participate.
• Teams should ensure a uniform jersey for all players.
• Matches will be played according to kabaddi federation of India rules and
regulations.
• Players up to 85kg weight are allowed to participate.
• Mat Shoe is compulsory for the event.

Lawn Tennis
• Points - Smallest unit of measurement. Points increment from Love(0)-15-30-
40- game
• Games - Games consist of 4 points each, and is won when a player reaches 4
points with at least a 2 point advantage
• Sets - A set consists of 6 games and is won by the player/team who reaches 6
games first with least a 2 point lead
• Advantage Set - If a game score of 6-6 is reached and advantage set rules are
used, a player/team can only win a set with a 2 game lead
• Matches - A match is usually played for 3 Sets. “A player which wins 2 Sets
automatically wins the match
• A doubles match is played to the best of 3 sets.

E - SPORTS
COMMON RULES :-
• A team of minimum 5 and maximum 7 players can be registered for each game
• There are no gender restrictions for the team.
• All participants must have discord installed on their devices and ensure that
the camera and microphone are working.
• Devices will not be provided and participants will be responsible for it.
• The event will be held offline.
• Multiple entries for E - Sports from each college/private Universities to make
separate teams for each E - Sports as matches may overlap. No players are
allowed to be registered in more than 1 team.
• Rule books with detailed guidelines will be provided to participating teams.
• The E - Sports committees bears all the rights can take necessary steps for
investigation if required. Non - compliance may result in disqualification of the
team.
• Format and dates of the events are subject to number of participants and will
be conveyed prior to the event.
• All other general rules are applicable.

BGMI :-
• Each Teams roster must consist of 6 players.
• Ringing is strictly prohibited. Directed disqualification.
• Every team should be in their own provided slots 15 mins prior to the game.
• At least 3 players are required to play the particular match.
• Every player has to record their POV and instantly send it to admins whenever
asked to do so. Failure in providing POV will lead to disqualification.
• Any type of illegal activities or hacking by any player will lead to the
disqualification.
• Only registered players can play from their particular team and each player
will play only from their own registered account.
• Every player should have downloaded all the given maps.
• Any type of absurd behaviour with admins will lead to the disqualification.

Every IGL should upload the screenshot of the results page on discord showing position and number
Always show integrity while playing in the tournament any kind of inappropriate behaviour will lead
Teaming up is prohibited and will also lead to strict action.

VALORANT :-

• All players are allowed to have only one (1) account per person. All information
registered on your account needs to be up-to-date and to have the correct
information.
• Each Teams roster must consist of at least 5 players.
• All the players have to be in the lobby before the time limit goes down (10
minute). If there are players missing after this time the team will be given extra 5
mins to call a substitute player.
• The team which has less than 5 players after the time limit will be disqualified
from the tournament. If both teams are missing players, then both are
disqualified.
• After map selection team captains have to write that their team is ready in the
lobby chat. The game should not start before that.
• If a player disconnects during the game has to continue and will not be remade.
• Each team has the right to pause a game once during match for no longer than 2
minute during the preparation phase of any round. If you do pause a game,
inform the opposite team about your pause and the reason for it should be given
to the respective committee members.
• Show respect to everyone involved in the tournament. This includes, but is not
limited to all players and the staff, Do not spam, be it in text or VoLP.
• All communications with the players and teams is handled on the discord (like you
can talk in game or else can tell the organizer to create a new VC for the team ).
• All players must have “Competitive mode” unlocked on their accounts.
• All matches will be played on officials game servers.
• All officials VALORANT rules are applicable.
• If a player receives a game ban from Riot games during the tournament, the
entire team will be disqualified.

NOTE
• Minimum ac level 100, Map eliminator option, Min rank -Bronze-3, No hacks,
glitches exploitation, No toxicity
• No smurfing- if you think you’ll come from a bronze ac and when your actual rank
is diamond or above ,please don’t think that we will not be able to catch your
instincts as we will be having spectators having experience to decide the rank of
each player based on their accuracy and game sense. Decision of the spectator on
any disputes shall be final.

Accommodation Details

At the time of Registration:

Accommodation chargesand security deposit of Rs 5000/_ are to be paid on arrival at camp
Extra accommodation and boarding facilities will be charged as applicable.

• Report to the registration help desk where you will be informed about your
accommodation details.

• Mattress and quilts will be provided.

• If you have not registred beforehand then University will not be responsible
for your accommodations.

• Per head expenditure for accommodations & food will be Rs.500/ per
person during your stay. 15th March 2023
