The document summarizes 3 extinct species that were previously found in the Philippines:
1) Elephas beyeri, a dwarf elephant species named after anthropologist H. Otley Beyer that lived on islands in the Philippines until habitat loss and poaching drove it extinct.
2) Cebu warty pig, a pig species endemic to Cebu island known for fleshy warts on its face, that went extinct due to habitat destruction.
3) Nesorhinus philippinensis, a rhinoceros species endemic to the Philippines whose fossils have been found in Luzon and whose extinction was caused by habitat loss and poaching.

Cebu warty pig - Cebu warty pig or Sus cebifrons cebifrons is one of the extinct species of pig. The pig had no visible information when it was discovered. But coming from its ancestor Sus cebifrons or Visayan Warty Pig was discovered in 1888. It was named “Cebu warty pigs” because it has three pairs of fleshy warts that appear on their faces, and “Cebu” because they previously lived on Cebu. Cause of extinction: Habitat destruction.
