Elephas beyeri - One of the extinct species of dwarf elephants discovered in


the Philippines.
It was named after the anthropologist H. Otley Beyer.
It was discovered in Cabarruyan Island at the Philippines.
More of, they are also discovered in the Visayas and Luzon.
Origin: It was speculated by Von Koenigswald that these animals came from
mainland asia and crossed to the Philippines by a land bridge connecting with
Taiwan.
Confirmed discovery in 2001.
Cause of Extinction: Loss of habitat and poaching; unconfirmed

Cebu warty pig - Cebu warty pig or Sus cebifrons cebifrons is one of the
extinct species of pig.
The pig had no visible information when it was discovered. But coming from
its ancestor Sus cebifrons or Visayan Warty Pig was discovered in 1888.
It was named “Cebu warty pigs” because it has three pairs of fleshy warts
that appear on their faces, and “Cebu” because they previously lived on
Cebu.
Cause of extinction: Habitat destruction.

nesorhinus philippinensis - a Pleistocene-aged species of rhinoceros
endemic to the Philippine islands.
Their fossils remain and waiting to be found in Metro Manila and Kalinga.
As far as I know their fossils were found and excavated on Cagayan, Luzon
in 1936.
Cause of extinction – Loss of habitat and Historic poaching.
