PART A- oral presentation

1. Prepare and deliver a sustained argument on a topical issue that has appeared in
the media since September 1, 2021
1. Your presentation is to be approximately 3 minutes long
2. You may have cue cards to support you during your presentation.
3. You may include some PowerPoint slides to support your presentation.
PART B- written statement of intention
1. Write a statement of intention to accompany your oral presentation in which
you explain the decisions you made in the planning process of your speech and
why.

Plagiarism – there is to be no copying from other students during the SAC or between
classes. Nothing is to be copied from the internet or anyone else outside the
classroom. Consequence – repeat the SAC and receive a marking penalty.
Absenteeism/lateness – you will not be given extra time if you are late. If you are
absent on the designated date, you must produce written evidence – e.g. a medical
certificate – to explain your absence. The teacher will decide if you can sit a
supplementary SAC.
