Topic Presentation Design Brief/Synopsis (5thSeptember)

The presentation should be with a sense of clarity and brief write up justifying the choice
of topic and the particular approach you tend to adopt for the project. Thesis committee
will measure the scope and size of the proposed project and can suggest amending or
improving upon the project, the students can only proceed towards the final presentation
only after the complete satisfaction of the thesis committee.
Design brief or Synopsis is a document consisting of structural information which
essentially leads to good communication. Design brief should give complete information
regarding purpose of the project, target audience and design processes.

Research/Concept presentation (12th September)

The research intends to undertake a thorough and detailed study of the selected topic. The
research can be in the form of interviews from appropriate personnel, recorded information
from books or any other written/audio visual medium and it can be through study of
similar topics. The input from your advisor is a must.

The concept should identify a clear relationship between the selected topic and the theme
of the project and analysis should be backed by strong research conducted. Creative
approach to the topics is encouraged leading to well imaginative but practical design
possibilities. Presentation can include story boards, sketches, footage, script or any other
medium you wish to use for presentation; this is the stage that we expect the student to be
very clear about the work and the means they require to adopt for the final presentation.
