To the learner:
This worksheet serves as your reference in leaning the most
essential learning competency/ies in _____________________[Specialization]. The
topics included are simplified for you to easily understand the concepts and
principles for you to perform the learning activities and assessment tasks you
are required to do.
You are also given the opportunity to produce a home-based project or
solve a problem as application of your learning in this lesson. This project or
problem gives you the opportunity to express your creativity and develop
critical thinking skills. This project maybe simple or complex but having
produced one ensures you of active engagement in hands-on activity and
collaboration with your co-learners, siblings, parents, neighbors and
experts/industry practitioners in the community.
The learning content in this worksheet might not be enough as source of
information to support your solution to the problems or to produce learning
outputs, thus, you are expected to do additional research work through the
online resources or internet or conduct interview of experts or industry
practitioners in your community like the carpenters, bakers, chef, auto
mechanics, farmers, entrepreneurs, etc.
. Your teacher will always be available to support you in your learning
journey especially in the course of learning the concepts and skills.
Good luck and stay safe!

II. Learning Content

Case 1. No existing DepEd Module or Book for the learners (Old

modules, books or any learning resource) – Get from any available
learning resource like internet and other print media with proper
citation/referencing.
1. Put the details of the learning content here. Make it simple, concise
and direct-to-the-point for the learners to comprehend.
2. Focus on the most essential topic. . .be minimalist in the content.
That is, whatever learned through this worksheet should be a
minimum requirement to learn the next more complex competencies.
Thus, before writing this worksheet have a mapping of the topics
based on the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) to taper
the topical coverage of the lesson.

Case 2. There are existing old Modules or Books for the learners
1. If the modules or books are enough for all learners, distribute to
the learners the old modules or books and prepare LAS weekly for
the learners. Indicate in this section which part of the module or
book they could find the lesson/topic.
2. If the copies are limited, have the section of the module or book
photocopied (not more than 15 pages should be photocopied to
avoid issues on copyright and Intellectual Property Rights) and
attach to the LAS
Note:
 Font size should be at least 11, preferably Bookman Old Style.
 Pictures taken from our workshops (for tools and equipment) are
highly recommended to be used for our illustrations. Images taken
from the internet should be carefully evaluated to make sure they
are not protected by copyrights.

III. Assessment
Answer Key to the test items in this section should be provided in
Section 7 of the LAS.

IV. Home-based Project/Activity

A. Project Description.
Describe in this section the project to be produced by the learner as
direct or relevant application of the learning competencies emphasized
in this learning guide. This home-based project is considered an
evidence of learning while learners do their self-paced study at home.
As much as possible, the project must allow the learners to work with the
context of their respective communities or local realities. This can be
individual or collaborative (if possible).

They can be asked of a recycling activity to make sure that the available
materials are available from home. Interview of local experts or
practitioners in the industry can be done by the learner to ensure
feasibility of learning through survey and available resource persons and
be reported through a creative product or presentation like a video,
poster/e-poster, slides, comic stories. A home project can be for
improvement of home, baking using local raw materials (puto, bingka,
pandesal, cake etc), repair of tools and equipment available at home and
maybe an innovative work like creation of DIY tools or projects.

There are homes that are capable of providing the learners of their needs
to explore production of baking products, food menu, DIY metal
works/construction works, tailoring/dressmaking products and e-
products, thus, creativity and thorough planning for this project will
help you as a teacher for this project-based learning to happen.

As evidence of learning, students can be recommended to come up with a

project design as application of the concepts learned from the module
and interview from the experts and local industry practitioners. This can
be done by learners who belong to families with difficulty of providing the
needs of the children to explore production of new products as
application f learning. With the project designing, learners have the
opportunity to apply calculation and mensuration skills and discover
their creativity and critical thinking potentials. The teacher should
include the suggested parts of the Project Design and should allow the
learners to explore enhancement of the suggested format. As must as
possible guide questions/statements on how learners can accomplish
each part of the project design will be provided.

B. Project Timeline and submission procedure.

Indicate the deadline or the expected number of days the learners are
allowed to finish this project. How the learners should submit their
outputs must be indicated also. Learners should know also how
online submission can be done in the case of e-products.
A scoring rubric must be included to guide learners on how they
should create their project based on expectations.

V. Learning Insights

This section provides the learners the opportunity to write what they
have learned after accomplishing their application projects/outputs.
This serves as a simple learning journal for them to have the
opportunity to express their thoughts and revisit their learning
journey and realize the importance of teamwork/collaboration. They
can be allowed to express using Filipino, Mother Tongue or English
language . They can be asked of the following questions:

a. What insights have you gained from your project?

b. What significant values have you developed while doing your
project?
c. What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome
them?
