There are six forces that act as the stimulants to


organisational change; nature of the workforce, technology,
economic shocks, competition, social trends and world
politics.

Change is making things different. Organisational


change is considered as the adoption of new idea
or behaviour by an organisation for the effectivess
of the organisation’s operations.
Planned Change are activities that are intentional and
goal oriented. Most of the times, planned change is done
by the managers of an organisation as they planned for
the strategic or tactical plan for their organisations.

Change Agents are the persons who act as catalysts and


assume the responsibility for managing change activities.
Most of the times, managers will play the role as the
catalyst or the change agents as their position in the
organisation allows them to make decision on the
changes that are going to take place.
