I want to start by acknowledging my mistakes on my

expectations for last school year. One of the biggest mistakes
I have done is that I had super high expectations on myself
and at the same time I had poor time management on my
studies which caused me to get drained due to the pile of
activities I needed to finish. For this school year my
expectations are to first, follow my daily time table so that I
have time to study and the same time have some free space in
my schedule to do my hobbies and do other things I love. My
second expectation is not to be too hard on myself. Because
last year for the first two quarters I kept pressuring myself and
on the third and fourth quarters I got lazy because I felt super
stressed. Now moving on to the second part of my essay I
want to share my plans to improve my academic performance.
First, I want to focus on my academics this time instead of
hanging out always with my friends (to the extent that I don’t
study anymore) and spending so much time in social media
drama and issues. I am planning to make a schedule to
organize my time in order to balance my social and study life.
I am also planning to make a resolution to stop gossiping with
my friends and classmates. It turns out by exposing the faults
of others I become a bad example towards my fellow
classmates. Which leads me to talk about my commitments as
a student. First, I want to commit myself into helping my
classmates more. I also want to dedicate more time into my
studies and activities related to studies such as writing and
journaling. Another way to commit to my responsibilities is to
construct my own study plan and time table to get things
organized. Through following my time table of activities that I
do for the day, I get to organize my routine instead of doing
my assignments in late hours of the night when I get the mood
to do so. The time table I am currently drafting will help me
be a more responsible and disciplined student and also help
me as a person. Now I want to talk about my personal ways of
managing stress and meeting the deadlines for my activities.
As I mentioned earlier in this essay, I have constructed an
adjustable time schedule. If God willing, I am able to keep up
with it, I will not have any problems when it comes to school
tasks. It takes great discipline so I am already practicing my
study plan as of this moment of typing this essay. My
schedule consists of doing my assessments first and I like to
think of the free time afterwards as a reward for putting
efforts in my studies before enjoying much in other activities.
In conclusion, I look forward on what my first school year as
a senior high student has in store for me. I have learnt many
lessons from the past school year and hopefully I can take
those lessons to help me become a better student, classmate
and person. I give much hope that I can keep up with the
demands of my studies and the same time enjoy it without
having to mess up my mental and emotional health this school
year. I end this essay with one of the simple notes I took down
“Its all about consistency on having fun and studying.”.
