15.4 Adjustments on the installation trolley

Adjustment
1 Align the installation trolley (Ill. 502/1) to the
5 2 press on the 4 knurled bolts (Ill. 502/3). The
guide rails (Ill. 502/2, 502/5) must be aligned
flush.
2 Use knurled nuts (Ill. 502/4) to lock the knurled
bolts.
3 If a lateral alignment must be made, shift
the two guide rails (Ill. 502/5, 503/1) on the
installation trolley frame in lateral direction.

2 Open the locking nuts (Ill. 506/4) on the two

hexagon-head screws (Ill. 506/1) on the
1 guide piece O.S. and start to tighten the
screws alternately until the numbering inking
unit (Ill. 504/1) and the lifting device (Ill. 505/1)
3 are moving between the guide rails

15.6 Adjusting the numbering inking unit to the press

Tools/gauges

x 2 Feeler gauge
Adjustment
1 4 Distance between numbering inking unit and
impression cylinder.
Note:
The distance between numbering inking unit
(Ill. 507/1) and impression cylinder depends
on the mesh of teeth between intermediate
gear (Ill. 507/3) in the printing unit and the
coupling gear (Ill. 507/4) in the numbering
inking unit.

3
1 For this adjustment, set the blanket cylinder
(Ill. 507/2) on the CPTronic console to paper
thickness ”0” and switch on impression by
means of the service button.

5 2 Remove the finger protecting bar.

6 3 Open 2 Allen screws (Ill. 507/6) each on D.S.
and O.S. on the locking plates (Ill. 507/5) so
that the numbering inking unit can be moved at
Ill. 507 Position of the numbering inking unit to a locked position.
the printing unit 4 Bring the numbering inking unit to full gear
mesh (Ill. 507/3, 507/4) to the printing unit.
5 At D.S., measure the distance x between
blanket cylinder bearer (Ill. 507/2) and the
slanted aluminium face of the numbering
inking unit side frame (Ill. 507/x).
6 Add 0.2 mm to the measured distance x
(gear backlash).
7 Use a feeler gauge to align the numbering
inking unit on D.S. and O.S. parallel to this
distance between bearer and face of the
numbering inking unit side frame.
8 Tighten the Allen screws on the locking plates
(Ill. 507/5) D.S. and O.S.
9 Mount the finger protecting bar.

15.7 Adjusting the lifting device

Adjustment
Note:
The lifting device (Ill. 508/1) must be
6
adjusted to the printing unit so that the
2 guide bars (Ill. 508/6) and the hooks
3 (Ill. 508/2) do not touch the blanket
cylinder (Ill. 508/3) with the frame
swivelled down.

1 Open 2 Allen screws M8 (Ill. 508/5) on each of

1 the locking plates (Ill. 508/4) D.S. and O.S. so
that the lifting device can be moved at a locked
position.
2 After completion of the adjustment, tighten the
Allen screws on the locking plates (Ill. 508/4)
D.S. and O.S.
