Subject : Observance of Constitution Day on 26th November,2023.

The undersigned is directed to state that 26th November is celebrated as

Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. As part of the
celebrations, a number of activities aimed at highlighting and reiterating the values and principles
enshrined in the Constitution are organized in every year. An importart part of the
celebrations is
reading of Preamble to the Constitution of India and reaffrming our commitment to uphold
its
ideology.

2. The Government has decided that al1 offices of the state Government, pSUs,
Autonomous Bodies, Organizations, local Seif Govemment Institutions, Educational Institutions
etc may organize reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India on 26s November,
2023 at
1100 hrs from their respective ofEcesflocations. Copy of the Preamble to the Constitution
of Iadia
is also enclosed for ready reference.

3' The LR & Additional Secretary, Law Departrnent is requested for taking aecessary
action to
organize other activities including Talks/Webinars on constitutional values and
fundamental principles of the Constitution of India on 26s Nove mber,2023.

4' The Special Secretary, Education Departrnent is requested to take necessary action
for reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India in a1l Educational Institutions on

November, 2023 at 1 100 hrs.

6. The Secretary, GA(SA) Department is requested to make necessary anangement

for reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India among the officers and staff
under the
Secretariat administration on 26fi November, 2023 at 1100 hrs.

7 ' All District Magistrate & Collectors, Tripura are requested to take necessary action
for observance of Constitution Day and reading of the Preamble to the Constitution
of India on
26th November, 2023 at 1100 hrs in their respective jurisdiction.

' As you are aware, 26rh November is celebrated as Constitution Day to
commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of lndia. Every year, a number of
activities aimed at highlighting and reiterating the values and principles enshrined in the
Constitution are organized as part of the celebrations.

2. An important part of the celebrations is reading of the Preamble to the

Constitution and reaffirming our commitment to uphold its ideology, in all Government
offices, Attached/ Subordinate offices, Autsnomous Bodies, Organizations and
lnstitutions, including educational institutions. A provision has also been made on
MyGov portal to 'Read the Preamble' online and download a Certificate'

3. Other activities including talks/ webinars on Constitutional values and

fundamentals of the Indian Constitution may also be organized. Citizens are also
encouraged to take part in the online 'Read the Preamble' activity.

4. Iwould request you to kindly take suitable actions for organizing activities relating
to the celebration of Constitution Day, in a befitting and appropriate manner.
