MMRDA/2B/MMRP/CA-07: Part Design and Construction of elevated viaduct and 5 elevated stations viz.

Diamond Garden, Shivaji Chowk, BSNL Metro, Mankhurd & Mandale [Excluding Architectural Finishing & Pre-
engineered steel roof structure of Stations] from Chainage 52665.359 m to 57757.000 m of Line 2B Corridor [
D.N.Nagar to Mandale] of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.

concrete surfaces (excluding finishing work of stations, prefabricated steel roof structures
and roof sheeting of stations) shall be included in Lump Sum price (Schedule A of BOQ)
except those items which have been included in the Schedule B as described in Clause 2.9
of Employer’s Requirements- Functional.
2.1.1.1 The depth of Pile for this tender has been taken 12 m below pile cut-off level including
socket. The adjustments for extra/ less depth of Pile shall be made as below.
For difference in depth the adjustments shall be made for increase/ decrease of the cubic
contents of Concrete @ Rs 12500/- per cum. This adjustment rate includes reinforcement
and all other associated processes / activities for the same.

2.1.1.2 There may be adjustment to alignment owing to requirement of Land owning agencies with
horizontal shifts which shall have to be undertaken without any financial Impact/cost.
2.1.1.3 Maximum cantilever pier cap in general will be limited to 2m only. In all other cases where
the cantilever is more than 2m the portal shall be provided.
2.1.1.4 The viaduct has to cross Eastern Free-way near Shivaji Chowk station, Mumbai Pune
Expressway and Mumbai Sub-urban Harbour Line Railway (before Mankhurd and after
Mankhurd Metro Station) Bidder may take a note of it and bid/quote accordingly.
2.1.1.5 The Final location survey of the alignment and stations given in GAD to accommodate the
statutory & other requirements including adjustments to Vertical and horizontal alignments
without any financial impact/cost.
2.1.1.6 To protect the reinforcement bar from corrosion for the super-structure by Cement polymer
Composite Coating (CPCC) system as per the procedure developed by Central Electro-
Chemical Research Institute, Karaikudi.
2.1.1.7 To protect the reinforcement bar from corrosion for substructure & foundations including pile
caps ,a coating of “Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating” as per IS 13620:1993. MMRDA is
establishing Fusion Bonded Epoxy treatment plant through agency in Mumbai region. The
rate fixed is rupees 9300 per metric tonne. Bidder to consider this while submitting his
technical bid
2.1.1.8 The contractor shall plan his design & construction in such a way that the existing foot over
bridge at various locations are not disturbed. However wherever any modification to the
FOB’s are required, the same shall be carried out after obtaining approval of the Engineer.
The cost of such modifications shall be included in Lump sum price Schedule ’A’.

2.1.1.9 Microsilica conforming to ASTM C1240 at 5% to 10% of cement volume as admixture in


concrete grade M-40 and above where OPC is being used to produce concrete.

2.1.2 VIADUCT INCLUDING VIADUCT PORTION IN STATIONS


(i) Detailed survey of the alignment for viaduct, Geotechnical/ soil investigation at every pier
location, utility checking, fixing an optimized span configuration avoiding shifting of utilities as
per contractor’s design subject to the obligatory requirements as shown in the GAD.
(ii) Design & construction of pile foundations and sub-structure including piers, pile caps,
pedestals, pier caps, bearings and shear restrainers.
