TASK 3 (50 pts)

Based in the given statement on the table about mental operations this we called 3 acts of the
mind 1. Simple apprehension 2. Judgement 3. Reasoning. These 3 acts of minds govern the
intellect of human or rational human in every logical aspect to be able to draw a logical
conclusion:
1. Simple apprehension is the first act of intellect where we mentally grasps the sense of
concept which is the product to be able to draw a oral and written terms.
Concept a representation of an object by intellect of what we understand without
denying anything about it before our mind can determine the truth and false or it has
first apprehend that something. It is an idea – starts with an outside reality and
apprehend by the senses.
Concepts derives into different kinds: First intention, Second intention, concrete
concepts, abstract concepts, absolute concepts, connotative concepts, positive and
negative concepts.
Ex. “Dog” is an example of concept which bring us a simple apprehension or
understanding or idea.
2. Judgement is the second act of intellect wherein we join two understood terms obtain
or acquired in simple apprehension and deconstruct from either by affirmation or by
negation.
Judgement provides term or mental proposition of that concept to be able to draw a
oral and written propositions based on the extension and comprehension of term
Ex. Hilda is a nun. (Hilda is the subject and nun is the predicate of proposition)
3. Reasoning is the third act of the intellect wherein we draw conclusion from a given act
of validity or arguments wherein the mental agreement or disagreement takes place.
In reasoning we have inductive and deductive reasoning this aspects of reasoning are
the methods when we acquired conclusion from the judging of arguments.
Ex.of deductive reasoning: All men are mortal. Socrates is a man. Therefore, Socrates is
mortal. (true conclusion)
Ex.of inductive reasoning: Yesterday morning, Ysa went jogging. This morning , she
jogged again. Therefore, Ysa will probably jog tomorrow morning. (probable
conclusion)

TASK 4 (30 PTS)

We the human being we have an intellect to reason out (abstract reasoning) the things
surrounded us had become more complex as we able to fulfill our satisfied end based on the
conclusion which is logically instinctive or natural inherited from us.
In our everyday life from waking up early in the morning we have the sense to perceived the
object surrounded us and it bring out more concepts, ideas and terms had comes in our mind
that make us more critical thinkers or logically thinkers in every acts depends in our perceptions
. Like me from living in my home to a student I have to be broaden or brain storm the term of
every concept by simply apprehend logically what is true and false, moral and immoral scaling
or leveraging every decisions not confronted my principles, and thru reasoning out and finding
a constructive evidence to be able to attained the right consequences. I can argumenting or
questioning my self why I studying back in college since I have already 2 years of diploma
before. The term “Ambition” from that concepts comes in my mind that gives more ideas in my
mind and reasons affecting realistic to my future positively. That’s why thru comprehension &
extensive understanding from concept to term must be constituted in every step of our life,
therefore it will create good conclusion or satisfied end.
