Assignment #1
BSCE 1-3 03/13/23
A. Write a short autobiography about yourself, with the following questions as your guide:
1. Introduce yourself: Share something that you wanted to impart as an essential aspect of
yourself.
- Greetings! I'm Francine S. De Lara, and I am highly ambitious and a woman with high
aspirations. I am currently pursuing to obtain a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Since the pandemic, I've been driven to design and construct affordable housing that
addresses effective financial budgeting. I've always been interested in contributing to
the advancement of our technology to make a beneficial impact on our society.
However, women in our generation feel the need to establish and prove themselves.
Hence, I am eager to learn and develop to see myself grow as I gain experience from
my journey to be a better asset with my future innovations for the betterment of our
fellow citizens and our beloved society.

2. What are your expectation/s in this class? And how will you do your part in achieving such
expectation/s?
- My expectations from this class are to further understand my true personality as I
acknowledge my positive attributes and become consciously aware of my toxic
behaviors. I believe I can accomplish these expectations by actively engaging myself
during synchronous sessions and continuously assessing my emotional and mental
health condition as I lend time to reflect in order to become a better version of myself.

3. If there is one thing that would represent your whole being, what would it be? Give
explanation.
- If there is something that would represent my whole being, that would be a cane. For
various reasons, I've come to see myself as a dependable companion when one of my
closest loved ones is experiencing a time of difficulty, which necessitates a person who
will lend their ear to listen as well as a shoulder to cry on. As a cane, when it comes to
academic group projects, I try to do my best to guide my colleagues while also assisting
them in honing their individual assignments. This just serves to demonstrate my
leadership skills, particularly my ability to support those who are struggling.
