Problem: Water Leakage occurred into the building due to the

defects in the aluminum windows during the rainy season.
 Reason: aluminum windows are not installed correctly therefore,
there is a gap between aluminum window and steel bar.
Solution: For smaller gaps, we can use an appropriate exterior-
grade sealant to fill in the space between the aluminum window
frame and the steel bar. Usually, silicone sealant is used. we
have to select the right silicon sealant.
we can use expanding foam insulation designed for windows.
This foam will expand to fill the space, providing insulation and
sealing against drafts and moisture we have to use right amount
otherwise, excess foam can be challenging to remove

 Reason: Rainwater seeps through the screw nail gap in the

window frame, leading to water infiltration into the building.
Solution: Remove the screw or nail causing the leak then Clean the
area around the hole. Apply silicone caulk or exterior-grade sealant to
cover the hole. Reattach the screw or nail if necessary. Regularly
inspect and maintain the window frame to prevent future leaks.

 Reason: The Window flashing is not installed there.

Solution: Window flashing is a water-resistant barrier that should
be installed around the window frame.

 Reason: when we looked closely at the sealant around the window

frame both inside and outside, we noticed gaps and deteriorating
sealant.
Solution: we find issues with the sealant therefore, remove the old
sealant carefully using a scraper or putty knife. Clean the area
thoroughly and then reapply a high-quality exterior-grade silicone

 caulk. Make sure to apply a continuous and even bead of sealant
around the entire perimeter of the window frame.

 Reason: Weather stripping around the window is not properly

installed.
Solution: Replace any damaged or worn weather stripping to
maintain a tight seal and properly install the new weather stripping,
ensuring a snug fit.

 Reason: There is a gap between door and floor

Solution:
For smaller gaps, consider installing weatherstripping or a door
sweep. Weatherstripping is a material that can be attached to the
bottom of the door to create a seal when the door is closed.
If the gap is larger and cannot be adequately addressed
with weatherstripping or a door sweep, may need to
replace the threshold. The threshold is the horizontal
piece of wood or metal at the base of the door frame.
Ensure that the new threshold is properly sealed and level
to prevent water infiltration

Problems: Defects occurred in the aluminum door due to wind

effect
 Reason: there is an uncompleted open reserved office structures in the
outside. That is enclosed by the aluminum door with columns and roof
only. the vacant area of that structure is able to pass strong wind.

Strong wind can create the significant pressure different between
inside and outside of a building. Therefore, the effective force acting
on the door leads to bend.

Solution: we have to finish the wall structures to reduce the wind

flow effect.
Highly strength able door can be used as outer door after the
prediction of wind effect pressure.
