Gastronomy Lokot-lokot
One of the most popular ones you can try is lokot-lokot, biscuit
rolls made with fried strands of rice flour batter. The sweet treat is
usually served during special occasions such as the “Hariraya” or
the feast of the Eid-il-Fitr, which celebrates the end of the fasting
month of Ramadan. You can also buy packaged products of lokot-
lokot to take home.
Kurma
Kurma is a popular dish in the city. It is the local version of curry.
My helping of kurma had the best texture and just the right
amount of spice, probably caused by the careful braising of the
meat in coconut milk during the dish’s preparation.
Chicken Piyangyang
This another Tausug dish is a grilled chicken flavored with species
and served with coconut milk cooked with toasted coconut meat.
Fused this delicacy by using chicken strips and baked it using an
over cooked to top it with pastel a mixture of butter, flour, and
egg.
Ensalda Chamba
A dish made if ripe mango salted egg tomato, onion, bagoong ,
steamed eggplant , alamang and fish sauce.

a 1st class highly urbanized city in the Zamboanga Peninsula region
of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a
population of 977,234 people. It is the fifth-most populous and
third-largest city by land area in the Philippines. It is the
commercial and industrial center of the Zamboanga Peninsula
Region.
Did you know? The province is known as the “Gateway to Western
Mindanao” through the Western Nautical Highway and has also
been called the “Bottled Sardines Capital of the Philippines.”
Zamboanga Sibugay is famous or known for natural attractions
such as white sand beaches, caves, and waterfalls. Zamboanga
Sibugay has 16 municipalities comprising 389 barangays.
Did you know? Zamboanga Sibugay is the third youngest province
in the Philippines. Founded on February 24, 2001, it’s the 79th
province created in the country, with territories carved out from
the third district of Zamboanga del Sur in 2001.
