As you grow up , your points of view on life may greatly differ from those
of your parents. Due to the generation gap, there is a huge
misunderstanding to grow up between the parent-child relationship which
can (leads/leading/lead) to a conflict. Let's see what you can do to
maintain a fulfilling relationship with your parents. First and foremost,
respect your parents for who they are, and what they have done for you.
Behave( responsibly/ responsible/responsibility) and maturely.
Carry out the duties your parents have assigned (on/in/to) you. If you
complete your daily chores on time, you will realize your parents don't nag
you so much after all! Do not go out of the way to do something
(who/whose/which )your parents have forbidden you from
(do/deed/doing). There must be a good reason why they feel you
should not (does/did/ do) a particular thing. (Although –However –
whereas) your parents may seem to be so strict and over-bearing, do
not fight with them. Talk to them and find out their reason for denial.
Explain to them your point of view. Arrive at a conclusion after both sides
have explained their side of the story. As you enter your mid-teens, you
will realize you want (be/to be/being) independent, from choosing what
to eat for breakfast, to ( buying/buy/to buy) your clothes, and making
new friends. This shift is going to cause a clash between you and your
parents. To avoid further conflict with them talk to them. It's the best
way to resolve a lot of problems
But parents have been warned to ensure teens work to get some of
it through household chores such as mowing lawns and cleaning, or
❺……………….. part-time employment, to keep greed at bay. "There should
be a small base allowance of about $10 a week. Anything after that should
be ❻………………….. so they can develop a sense of saving and learn that
money doesn't grow on trees," psychologist Sally-Anne McCormack said.
