MATHEMATICAL PATTERNS IN NATURE/ARTIFICIAL THINGS

1. Fractal
This is strawberries. The mathematical pattern that can be described by them is called a
fractal. Their geometric shape that displays self-similarity at different scales

2. Fibonacci Spiral
This is the pattern of leaves of a plant from my garden. It has a Fibonacci spiral pattern. The
leaves have the same length, and it has a spiral arrangement.

3. Symmetry
This is a flower called a sampaguita. It is a symmetry pattern. Each petal grows equally from
a central axis, creating a symmetrical pattern.

4. Logarithmic Spiral
This is a picture of my palm. It has a logarithmic spiral pattern if we look at our palms
closely. If you drew a line from the center of the spiral to the edge, the angle between the line
and the curve would be the same at every point like the palm of our hand.

5. Stripes
This is a long sleeve polo. It has a pattern called stripes. This polo consists of seamless,
continual lines in either a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal direction.
