Find the: (i) Highest and the lowest marks obtained by the

7. The scores in mathematics test (out of 25) of 15 students is as
follows:

Find the mode and median of this data. Are they same?

9. The performance of students in 1st Term and 2nd Term ( out of
100 ) is given. Draw a double bar graph choosing appropriate scale
and answer the following:

CHAPTER 6. THE TRIANGLE AND ITS PROPERTIES

1. An exterior angle of a triangle is of measure 60º and one of its


interior opposite angles is of measure 35º. Find the measure of
the other interior opposite angle.
2. The two interior opposite angles of an exterior angle of a triangle
are 50º and 70º. Find the measure of the exterior angle.
3. Write the six elements (i.e., the 3 sides and the 3 angles) of ∆ABC.
4. Two angles of a triangle are 40º and 75º. Find the third angle.
5. One of the angles of a triangle is 50º and the other two angles are
equal. Find the measure of each of the equal angles.
6. Two angles of a triangle are 35º and 65º. Find the third angle.
7. One of the angles of a triangle is 80º and the other two angles are
equal. Find the measure of each of the equal angles.
8. The three angles of a triangle are in the ratio 1:2:3. Find the
angles.
9. Is there a triangle whose sides have lengths 11.2 cm, 6.8 cm and
5.5 cm?
10. The lengths of two sides of a triangle are 8 cm and 10 cm.

11. PQR is a triangle right angled at P. If PQ = 13 cm and PR = 5 cm,

13. A 24 m long ladder reached a window 10 m high from the ground
on placing it against a wall at a distance a. Find the distance of the
foot of the ladder from the wall.
14. A tree is broken at a height of 6 m from the ground and its top
touches the ground at a distance of 8 m from the base of the tree.
Find the original height of the tree.

CHAPTER 7. CONGRUENCE OF TRIANGLES

1. ΔABC and ΔPQR are congruent under the correspondence:

2. In triangles ABC and PQR, AB = 4.5 cm, BC = 8.1 cm, AC = 5

the congruence relation in symbolic form.
3. Which angle is included between the sides PQ and QR of
ΔPQR?

4. By applying SAS congruence rule, you want to establish that


ΔPQR ≅ ΔKLM. It is given that PQ = KL and RP = MK. What

additional information is needed to establish the


congruence?
5. Write three equal pairs. Which congruence criteria will you
use for the above triangles?

1. Construct an equilateral triangle whose each side is 4.5 cm.


2. Construct a ΔPQR, in which QR = 3.5 cm, m∠Q = 40°, m∠R = 60°.
3. Construct a ΔABC in which BC = 5 cm, AB = 4 cm and m∠B = 50°.

6. Construct an isosceles right-angled triangle whose hypotenuse is
