SPECIALIST: Good morning Katia, what are you doing?

INTERNAL: Good morning Dr. Atoc. I've been following up Mr. Johnson's case.
Have you ever attended this patient? The hospital has given me this case to
follow up and help him.

SPECIALIST: Yes, I have attended this patient since he was diagnosed with
herniation of the invertebral disc. What happen to this patient?

INTERNAL: He's been complaining of persistent lower back pain with radiating
pain in both thighs for the past many years.

SPECIALIST: I have known about this case. Now, the patient has the same
symptoms, but the pain has been more intense these last some months.

INTERNAL: What has the treatment been in another patient with the same
illness?

SPECIALIST: My other patients have received physical therapy, and other

cases, they have needed a surgery.

INTERNAL: Tell me Dr. Atoc…How have you managed to properly diagnose

patients? And how have your experience been since you attend to these
cases?

SPECIALIST: With an MRI, it’s the best to diagnose this illness. Why has the
patient referred to this area?

INTERNAL: Because he has needed surgery since he was diagnosed with

degenerative spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis.

SPECIALIST: Arrange a meeting with the patient. He urgently needs this

surgery.

INTERNAL: Thank you Dr. Atoc, I know that you have experience in this kind of
surgeries for many years.
