    BOD : 800 mg/lit


    BOD Loading : 30 X 800
    : 24 Kg
    To neutralize 1 Kg of BOD requires 2.0 Kgs of O2
    For 18 Kg of BOD : 24 X 2.0
    : 48 Kg of Oxygen
    Airflow Required per hr : 48/(24 x 1.203 x 0.232 x 0.5 x 0.21)
    : 68.25 m3/hr
    Volume of Collection Sump : 18m3
    Mixing Factor : 18 x 50%
    : 9 m3
    Hence the total Air requirement : 68.25 + 9
    : 77.25
    Safety factor (10%) : 77.25 X 10%
    Total Air Flow Required : 78.15 m3/hr
