Requirement Engineering techniques

In order to get good requirement of the existing system we used different method/technique of the data
collection same of them are listed below.

Stakeholder Analysis: Stakeholders can include team members, customers, any individual who is
impacted by the project or it can be a supplier. Stakeholder analysis is done to identify the
stakeholders who will be impacted by the system. This is the first technique we use in requirement
Engineering technique. We conclude different stakeholder at this stage
 Student union members
 Student take position of election committee
 Voters (class representative)
 Candidates and others stake holders

Interview: This is a strong method of collecting requirement. We can use this method to gather
their basic information about student union, the organization rules regulation, structure of student
union, the existing voting system structure and rule. In this method we have contact interviewee
(student union Secretariat and some student union members).
Document analysis: this study provides a depth information on the application domain of the
system. Work instruction is one of the documents exist in Wolkite university student union
office. We gather the following information from it. The documents contain the student union
voting rules and regulation, the current voting system, procedure and functions. This are
analyzed to deal with area related to the objectives of the organization.
Questionnaire: We use this method to get accurate both qualitative and quantitative information,
the structure of the document should be clear and understood to obtain good user requirements.

Requirement Engineering tools

The following are the tools we used in the requirement Engineering process.
Notebook: we use note book for gathering(writing) the information we gate from the interviewee
and information we get from document analysis
