Description:
Integrated Eligibility System (IES) is part of Affordable Care Act and provides the intake and
processing of applications for health and human services program. This includes Nutrition Assistance
Program and temporary assistance for needy families. The 13 million state of Illinois are eligible to
use the Integrated Eligibility System. The IES information is being used by 200 other applications at
the State of Illinois. For example, the State’s formula for contributions to school districts relies on
date in the IES system. IES is a critical application for State of Illinois.

Responsibilities:
 Performed System Testing and UAT at the end of release cycle(High level design verification)

Project1: P & C Modernization- Guide Wire Claim center.

P & C modernization is one of the biggest programs Horace Mann has. Configuration and Integration are the
two main streams P& C supports. Where, issuing claim payments generating automated checks and
submitting a claim comes under Configuration. Credit card transactions, banking comes under Integration.
There is another stream conversion, where all the claims will be converted and will be supplied with a new
claim number after every data re-loading.

Project 2: Retirement Advantage Enrollment

This application is used by agents to help customers enrolling in the different Retirement plans available in
that school district. Usullay Agents conducts seminars in different places and they explain about the
products HM is providing so that a customer can choose and enroll depending upon their location and their
school district/Employer. It is mainly relied on a event code that every one getes on the day of seminar, one
should be able to enroll using the given event code.And the customer data is sent to Relius for prospectus
details.

Project 3: Concur Travel Expense system

This application is used by the employees at Horacemann. This application allows user to log in and keep
track of all the expenses a client spent on travelling. Where a person be given a PNC credit card and asked to
store all the receipts to upload them to the respective expense. They can also add cash expenses by
uploading receipts in the receipt and tie it to the expense. And the amount will be re-imbursed.

Project 4: WISE

Advice(WISE) is an app that is used by agents, where a customer/agent can enter all the information about
their current assets, income and expenses so that it will recommend a product at retirement. It integrates
several systems like Client 360, Firelight and Resonant.

Project 5: Eliminate SSN as group Identifier

A company’s responsibility is not only to deliver quality and efficient product but also to maintain
confidentiality in customers details. As Horace Mann is an Insurance company there would be a lot of cases
where customer/client has to provide SSN for purchasing any product with HM. So to protect security and
privacy of a customer, came up with this project where SSN(masked) will be replaced with a nine didgit
member number.

Project 6: Fee Disclosure for Connecticut

Fee Disclosure for plan403(b) in the state of Connecticut ia about sending emails to the newly established
contracts. Initally a new enrollee would only get a welcome email but the update is to send another email
with fee disclosure pdf and prospectus link to the new contracts. An enrollment report wil be generated
daily for the new contracts established on the previous day and enails will be sent manually to the list of
contracts in the generated.

a person would be able to make an order for any type of ads to get displayed in the newspaper.

contracts for producers in automated fashion and calculates the commissionable basis amount by
contract on a scheduled basis.
