Professional Experience
IBM
Client Partner | February 2017 – Present
Serve as an IBM Client Partner in SLED industry for several states, bringing together all IBM service lines to support the
needs of clients. In addition to the four target states, function as the SLED Industry Team GTM Lead for SAP and Oracle /
PeopleSoft ERP solutions.
 Responsible for overseeing IBM and contracted resources, project deliverables, invoicing, hypercare, application
managed services, and project reporting. Lead business transformation strategy and roadmap development.
 Implement innovative strategies to complete successful projects while managing diverse stakeholder interests,
complex governance challenges, and disruptive technologies requiring significant business and cultural change.
 As an IBM Delivery Executive for a large global banking client, performed an assessment of the stability and
performance of Wealth Management and Consumer mainframe platforms and the integration into cloud platforms
to ensure resiliency and high availability of these critical platforms.
 Performed the role of IBM Program Executive / Delivery Executive for a large global banking client to develop a
bespoke banking App (iOS and Android) and the foundation for their digital transformation using Microsoft Azure
Cloud architecture, Mulesoft integration patterns and endpoints, and a DataHub for App performance and
scalability.
 Served as IBM Program Executive / Delivery Executive for the U.S. Armed Forces Oracle Retail System Application
Implementation program to upgrade their portfolio of Planning, Forecasting, Merchandising, Store Inventory, and
Warehouse Management systems to the latest version of Oracle Retail ERP and upgraded their eCommerce platform
and warehouse distribution system using the IBM, FedRAMP certified cloud.
 IBM Program Executive / Delivery Executive fora large, multiphase program for a large midwestern state for an
enterprise shared services PeopleSoft HCM optimization program, statewide Taleo Recruit implementation and a
Taleo Learn and Planning/Budgeting Cloud Services for their Department of Transportation.
Accomplishments:
 As a highly skilled ERP consultant, successfully led a Phase 0 investment project for a target state seeking to modernize
their statewide shared services ERP. Educated the client on the available options and helped to develop an RFP.

o Spearheaded a response team for the subsequent RFP release and ultimately secured a $30MM contract,
successfully displacing a long-term system integration vendor and adding a new logo to IBM's portfolio.
 Tasked with overseeing Delivery Excellence programs in highly complex industries, such as State, Local, and
Education, Federal, and Financial Services. Quickly stepped into challenging situations, where clients were
threatening to terminate their relationship with IBM and pursue legal action due to major program problems.
o Quickly identified root issues, restructured teams, and delivered the programs successfully, ranging in size
from $30MM-$200MM+. As a result, the successful delivery of all the aforementioned programs generated
significant savings, totaling in excess of $75MM and all of the clients have remained as IBM clients.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority


Program Director (Contractor) | April 2013 – March 2017
Developed multiple RFPs for the Business Service Center, the shared services organization for MTA, participated on
selection committees, and delivered successful projects, overseeing system integrators (SI) and management consultants
(IBM, KPMG, and PwC).
 As a skilled ERP consultant, called upon by the MTA to help them upgrade their shared services ERP system. Initially,
they believed that a technical upgrade would suffice, but a more comprehensive solution was needed.
o Worked with MTA agencies to develop detailed requirements and assisted the Business Service Center
Senior Director and MTA CFO to define the funding needs and requirements for the program.
o Took charge of the RFP process, serving as the primary author for several RFPs that were sent out for
competitive bidding. The resulting program was a comprehensive upgrade of their PeopleSoft ERP system
and a reimplementation of their Pension system followed by a conversion of all of their outstanding legacy
Pension systems.
o With a budget of close to $100MM, this successful multi-year program helped MTA become fully compliant
and streamlined their systems for operational success.
 Successfully oversaw a multi-year program for MTA as their Program Director, representing the organization in a
contractor capacity. Executed the program seamlessly, with IBM as the primary SI for the PeopleSoft upgrades and
implementation of new functionality along with a Pension module reimplementation, KPMG for core procurement
consolidation, and a PwC providing independent verification and validation / quality assurance.

State of Connecticut
Program Manager (Contractor) | September 2011 – April 2013
 Performed the Program Manager / Technical Lead role for a large team of CherryRoad consultants, contractors, and
state resources for an Oracle/PeopleSoft staggered upgrade of FSCM, HCM, EPM, and Portal to 9.1, PeopleTools
8.52, and an upgrade of Oracle for all of the products to 11.2 for the CORE-CT project – a CherryRoad Technologies
project for the State of Connecticut.

Green Frontiers Energy Group / Magnolia BioPower


Executive VP / CEO of Portfolio Company | January 2010 – August 2011
Analyzed potential investments in early and later stage renewable energy companies for A and B funding rounds.
 Performed the CEO role for one of the investments made in a torrefied wood company in Georgia named Magnolia
BioPower, later renamed to Magnolia BioEnergy, and formed a partnership with a large northern European utility.
 Started the development of a Pilot Plant in Georgia with a target annual production of 900,000 tons of biocoal or a
“coal like’ product made from biomass. GFEG purchased a majority interest in Stramproy Green (Netherlands) to
accelerate the technology curve for the torrefaction technology through a holding company named Horizon
BioEnergy.

Upgraded the Peoplesoft shared services SMP hardware architecture to a commodity-based hardware architecture
along with an upgrade from Oracle 10 to 11, PeopleTools upgrades for Financials, HCM, EPM, Portal and an application
upgrade for EPM and Portal. This was the first post Accenture project for the State of Connecticut for the CORE-CT
shared services ERP system.
 Recognized for successfully managing a large team of contractors and multiple state resources for a PeopleSoft EPM
9.0 upgrade, Portal 9.0 upgrade, and maintenance pack and PeopleTools upgrades for HCM 8.9 and FSCM 8.9.

Accenture / State of Connecticut


Technical Program Manager (Contractor) | March 2002 – December 2007
 Directly managed a 30+ Member team for the full PeopleSoft project lifecycle consisting of state and Accenture
consulting managers, leads, consultants, contractors, and state resources for the CORE-CT project – an Accenture
ERP project for the State of Connecticut to consolidate the state’s disparate legacy systems to the PeopleSoft
Enterprise Resource Planning suite for the state’s 64,000 employees and all agency shared services platform.
