Spawning in trains:

- When you spawn in, spawn as Staff and then Train Crew. This will place you in
Birkenhead North depot.
- Head out towards the main shed (through the green door) and walk up to the
spawner.
- Put in any unit of your choosing. (507s must be /0 and 508s must be /1)
- For example: 507001 or 508111

- Your unit will then spawn in. If it doesn't you've either typed in the number incorrectly, or there
is a train with that number already spawned in.

Setting up your unit:


- Head to the back of the train and switch the tail lights on (red lights) and then flick the
power switch behind the driver's seat to turn the power on.
- Leave the back cab and head to the front of the train
- Press and hold Q to sit in the driver's seat
- Turn your light switch to markers
- While holding your master key, press X to key in
- Put in your signal number and route code (using the box in the bottom right hand
corner)
- Put your signal number as ML575 and then click set
- Put your route code as 0 and then click set

When the signal at the end of the depot is showing 2 white lights diagonally, you can leave the
depot.

Leaving the depot:


- Put your reverser into forward
- Set your brakes to 0
- Start accelerating
- Make sure to control your throttle and brake properly to follow the speed limits (5
inside the depot, until you reach the next speed board)
- Drive up until the next signal (which will be showing a red) and then set your route
code to 1 or 2 and then click set
- Route code 1 will allow you to do the New Brighton loop, going through
platform 2 at Birkenhead North
- Route code 2 will allow you to do the New Brighton loop, going through
platform 1 at Birkenhead North
- Set your headlights to day or night, depending on the time
- Once you have done this, wait until you have a yellow or green signal and then
proceed.

Changing ends:
When you reach your terminus, you will need to do the following things:

- Open the doors to let passengers off and on
- Set your lights to tails
- Set your reverser to Off
- Press X to key out
- Switch ends

When you get to the other end, follow the same guide as setting up the train at the depot, but
instead:
- Set your headlights to day or night, depending on the time
- Set the signal number to the one in front of you (walk up to the blue GSM-R boards
on the platform to find it, or the signal itself)
- Set your route code to 1 or 2 depending on your preference.

Once you have a yellow or green signal, close your doors and depart.

Finishing your run:


- When you have finished driving, stop at your nearest station and allow passengers
off.
- Shut the doors when all passengers are off
- Click the bin icon to delete your train

Guarding a train:
As a guard, you will be in control of the doors to let passengers on and off.

To use the guard panels in the cab:


- When you stop at the station, open the local door and make sure all of the doors are
on the platform
- Open all passenger doors
- When it is time to depart, close the passenger doors and wait for the orange
lights on the side of the train to go out
- Close your local door and ring the guard’s bell 2 times to let your driver know you are
ready to depart.

To use the guard panels in the saloon:


- While holding the “T key”, press E on a saloon panel. The panel will open.
- Open your local door
- Check all of the doors are on the platform

- Open the passenger doors
- When it is time to depart, close the passenger doors and wait for the orange lights on
the side of the train to go out
- The orange light on your coach will stay on as you are at a local door
- Close your local door
- When the 2 blue lights above you are lit, press the guard’s bell twice
- Shut your guard panel by using X

DRIVERS: You MUST remember to press the guard’s bell 2 times to reply to the guard
BEFORE departing!
