intersect them

TOPIC 2: THEOREMS AND PROOF

STATEMENT REASON
1. TU=UV Given
2. UV=UV Reflexive Property of Equality
3. TU+UV=UV+VW Addition Property of Equality
4. TV=TU+UV and UW=UV+VW Ruler placement Postulate betweenness of
points postulate
5. TV=UW Transitive property of equality

TOPIC 3: RRA
1. REDUCTION AND ABSURDIUM
2. CONTRADICTION
3. To prove the statement “EARTH is NOT FLAT” using the method of RAA, which we first
assume the opposite of it, which is that Earth is flat and show that it leads to contradiction.

to Prove it, let first assume that the earth is Flat

assuming the earth is Flat, and you and your friend was on the sea surface and you bot
wanted to know if the earth is flat then therefore if the person would travel from your position
to another position where it is far from you, that person must not be vanish from your view.

however, base on the observation and evidence shows that you will vanish in the sight of
someone if you are so far from that person so basically it appears that the earth is not a flat

it contradicts the assumptions that earth is flat

So by assuming the opposite and demonstrating the contradiction, we can conclude that the
earth is not flat.
