2. The battery Solar Hybrid Station will be installed at four (4) sites as follows;
3. Concept of Operation
In normal operation, the Solar PV generates electricity by converting the solar energy from sun
into a useful electric energy. The DC power then converted by inverter into AC power to supply
the load. Whenever there is an excessive energy generates by Solar PV, it will be charged up to
the battery storage.
At night or during the shortfall of solar energy, the DC power stored in battery will be
withdrawn and converted to AC power to supply the load. The diesel generator is brought on
line whenever there is a continuous demand of load which cannot be catered by both Solar PV
and battery storage as well as to periodically charging the battery to maintain it in good
condition.
1. Purpose
This specification defines requirements for sealed-type (Gel), lead-acid storage batteries and
accessory equipment for battery storage to supply DC power applications, for Solar Hybrid
System.
2. Work to be provided.
The Contractor shall provide the following:

respective sites inclusive sea transportation to sites. The contractor shall provide marine
insurance for sea transportation. To comply with Malaysian Standard MS62257.
b. Delivery of all equipment shall be packaged to provide protection during transportation
including recommended storage requirements.
c. Provide Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at factory, Performance Test (in the workshop, prior
to delivery to site) and Field Test (during the Testing & Commissioning).
d. Provide all data specified in accordance with the submittal schedule.
f. Provide all competent manpower and tools required for installation, startup, operation,
maintenance, and adjustment.
