Welcome to the world of Astronomy and Space Observation And Research (SOAR)
facility at School.
The first of its kind, one of its kind and the only one of its kind Observatory across
the Nation, is now open to students of classes I-XII for its ‘Universe for All’
programme, designed and implemented in collaboration with M/s Space Technology
and Education Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.
The multifarious facets of learning as enumerated in NEP 2020 are in a way in sync
with this lifetime opportunity which will help students to:
nurture scientific temperament and facilitate astronomy based research.
explore new avenues by widening the spectrum of learning.
make them eligible for summer internship, summer programmes and
international student exchange programmes.
prepare for the Indian and the International Olympiad on Astronomy and
Astrophysics.
accentuate the strength of profile for admission into top Universities within and
outside India.
be a part of Nation’s Moon & Mars mission collaborating with ISRO & NASA
and far more.

There will be 4 levels to this programme:


Beginner
Elementary
Advanced
Specialization
Each level will span a period of approx. 3-4 months.
For Beginner level:
All students who enrol for the programme will begin at this level.
There will be approx. 50-55 sessions in all, each of 45 minutes and at least 2
sessions per day.
Days for sessions: Saturdays / Sundays / after regular School hours. School
buses will ply.
For the evening sessions, where the observation of the skies will be involved,
parents will be required to pick and drop their ward to School (number of such
sessions 4-6).
There will be field trip(s). The details and the cost of the field trip(s) will be
shared closer to the planned date.
All material pertaining to the course and required during the session will be
provided at School.
There will be a formative assessment at the end of each level and will include
age appropriate research and portfolio work.
The fees for the Beginner level is Rs.4956/- to be paid online through the
student portal within a week.
Since seats are limited, enrolment will be accepted on first come first serve
basis.
The detailed schedule and the curriculum will be shared prior to the
commencement of the programme.
This programme will run independent of the regular School curriculum.
If a child is already enrolled for some other activity e.g. competitive classes,
he / she will be accommodated accordingly.

In a School framework, all children irrespective of their dreams, must acquire basic
knowledge of astronomy and space along with astrology, at least upto the
Advanced level if not the Specialization level.
