The ScanMax NS Pro antenna is placed inside the

ScanMax® NS Pro Deactivator in bar code scanner bucket. The antenna may be
an NCR Mini, Express, or Full- located on the left or right side of the bucket and
should always be located on the side closest to the
Size FastLane Self-Checkout bagging area as shown above.

used) from the scanner.

CAUTION: Scanner cables are

short. Take care not to disconnect
cables when removing the scanner.

4. Carefully lift the scanner from the self-checkout

station, front first, by grabbing the support
handle on the inside front edge and the back of
the housing. Set the scanner across the
opening.

2. Remove four retaining screws (two on top, two

on the side) securing the LCD touch screen
and set aside. Then, lifting from the bottom, tilt
the LCD touch screen out of the way of the
scanner.

Release 4 Scanner Removal
1. Remove two screws from the front surface just
above the top of the cash dispenser door.
2. Slide out and lift the scanner bezel to remove
it. Set the bezel aside.
3. Remove two screws on the right side.
4. Open the front mount door toward you for
clearance.

5. Route the antenna cable through the front of
the scanner bucket, and then carefully place
the antenna inside the bucket in the area
closest to the bagging area.
CAUTION. If the scanner has the
weight scale option: Do not allow
the antenna or its cable to rest or
place pressure on the weigh scale
post or top plate; otherwise, the
weights and measures calibration
will be voided.
CAUTION: Place edge guard material
round the cable exit at the front of the
bucket as necessary to prevent sharp
edges from penetrating the cable.
6. Perform Step 6a or 6b.

front of the bucket, and down the cable
channel along the left side of the scanner.

channel to secure the cable.
