I. Introduction (1:1-2).

II. Paul warns Timothy against False teachers (1:3-20).

A. Instructions against unsound doctrines of false teachers (1:3-5).

B. To confront false teachers on inaccurate teachings (1:6-11).

C. Paul declares himself recipient of Grace of God (1:12-17).

D. Timothy asked to endure and fight the good fight (1:18-20).

III. Paul instructs Timothy on prayers (2:1-15).

A. Paul states the importance of a prayerful life (2:1-7).
