Dear Soban,

I hope this letter finds you well. It's been quite some time since we
last talked, and I wanted to share some thoughts that have been on mind
about computer usage in today’s world.

On one hand, computers have made our lives easier in many ways. However,
I would like to first talk about the ways in which they have made our
lives worse. Firstly, easy access to online information may be degrading
out ability to think and judge information as we tend to believe anything
we see online. Secondly, excessive usgage of these devices have reduced
the time we spend outdoors, engaging in recreational activities; which
resonated with me. I miss the days when we used to spend long hours
playing games, engaging in various sports such as football and cycling
long distances…

But then there are many advantages that computers have offered to us.
They have revolutionized the way we study, research, and create. I
personally agree with this as researching new topics and creating
engaging projects has never been easier. After all, I've personally
witnessed how computers have transformed our academic lives. This
techonology has allowed us to advance in several fields such as medical,
astronomical and educational research. Furthermore, we can contact anyone
living anywhere in the world given they have a cell phone/computer with
internet connectivity.

So, you may be asking: where do I stand on this issue? Well, I believe
it's a complex one, and there are valid points on both sides. Yes, I miss
the simpler times when our world wasn't overcome by screens, and we had
fewer distractions. Those days of carefree outdoor adventures were indeed
special. But, I can't deny the positive impact computers have had on our
education and the way we access information.

Computers have made studying and researching more efficient and

accessible. Without them we would have to spend long periods of time
reading books and encyclopedias to gather information about certain
topics. But now, with just a few clicks, we have a wealth of information
at our fingertips. I, myself, as a student am learning how to program and
edit videos from the web free of cost!
However, we still need to find a good balance between both worlds.
Excessive screen time can lead to a lack of physical activity and reduced
face-to-face interactions weakening us both physically and socially. But
with some mindful use, we can take advantage of the possibilities of the
digital world whilst also having time to go outside and to meet new
people.

I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this topic and catch up on what's been
happening in your life. Take care, and looking forward to our next chat!

Your friend,
Rayyan Yousuf
