Hello. I am Nasrin. I moved to Sweden with lots of hopes and dreams.

But it was not

easy for me. And I am really happy that I was able to do that. But the fact is you never
can be completely happy. For me I was happy even with Studying in a totally different
education system here in Sweden. I enjoyed every part of it because I could talk to
the teachers and my classmates regarding any problems to my studies. But what
about the weather? What about the language barrier that I am facing while applying
for a job? What about the difficulties to enter into a totally different culture than mine?
What about the financial problems? I can't talk about these things to random people
because I'm not sure if I can trust them or they will care as I don’t know them for a
long time. On my very first day here, I was kind of lost because it’s very different from
where I came. Till now I’m trying hard to learn Swedish so that I can really enter this
culture. But while doing that and talking with other friends I found that we all are
somehow keeping secrets about our feelings and so getting depressed. We should
express our feelings. We should have the safe space to talk about our mental health.
And as a human being we should help others. Putting all these things together we the
students from entrepreneurship, sustainability and social change are going to arrange
three days Mental Health Week in November at Linnaeus University. We promise to
make a change in the situation by addressing this issue. If you are feeling positive
about this you can join us by registering for the event. You are welcome to join us in
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp group. Thank you for listening me and have a
good day.
