Anti-drug Campaign Amongst the Youth.

INTRODUCTION

Drug addiction is a complicated disorder, and many people are unaware of

the causes or mechanisms of drug addiction in others. They might mistakenly think

that drug users are immoral or lack of courage to stop using the drug, failing to

realize that drug users alters brain chemistry in ways that make stopping difficult

for even the most motivated users. Addiction to drugs is actually a complicated

illness, and recovery typically requires more than just willpower or good

intentions. Even while someone may at first choose to use the drug, they eventually

lose the ability to do so. Addiction shares many similarities with other illnesses,

like heart disease. Both have major negative effects, interfere with an organ's

ability to operate normally, and are, for the most part, preventable and treatable.

They can be fatal and last a lifetime if left untreated.

PURPOSE
1.To Promote Drug Aware as a source of credible and accurate information on

illicit drugs.

2.To Increase awareness and knowledge of the potential health, social and legal

consequences of illicit drug use and to Increase awareness and knowledge of the

potential health

DESCRIPTION

The objectives of this are to prevent youth from using illicit drugs by

enhancing their awareness and understanding of the harmful social and

health effects of illicit drug use; and to develop and implement community-

based interventions and initiatives to prevent illicit drug use through

symposiums and 3 sessions seminars to all institutions inside Cavite City.

SUPPORT

The annual budget for this year’s institutional anti-drug campaign program

will be around 100,00 to 150,000 thousand pesos. This includes certificates,

snacks, free shirt and other materials that will be needed for the said program.
