◦ Introduce what is your research problem, back it up with evidences from the literature
◦ Justify the selection of your topic
◦ Establish the necessity of the study by discussing the practical significance
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM (for
qualitative)
◦ Present the MAIN problem of your study
◦ Provide the subproblems (the logical and
interconnected components of the primary research
problem)
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY (for
Quantitative design)
◦ Present the MAIN objective of your study
◦ Provide the sub-objectives (the logical and
interconnected components of the primary research
purpose)
HYPOTHESIS
◦ Present the STATISTICAL HYPOTHESIS
◦ This section is only applicable if you have an objective
to test for correlation, difference, or influence.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
◦ Discuss the theory or theories which serve as your
anchor of the study
◦ The theory serves as the general framework for your
data analysis
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK (optional,
for quantitative study)
◦ Present the diagram or the visual presentation of your
operationalize version of the theory
