1. Area and perimeter of rectangle, square, trapezium, triangles etc.
2. Curved surface area, Total surface area and volume of cylinder, spheres, hemisphere,
cones and combined solids.
III. Matrices, determinants and system of linear equations
1. Definition and types of matrices, operation on matrices.
2. Transpose of a matrices, Inverse of a matrices and rank with some properties.
3. Dependent and independent lines, consistency and inconsistency of the lines.
4. Solution of the system of linear equations.
IV. Algebra
1. Inequalities.
2. Laws of indices and simplification.
3. Polynomial equation and Quadratic equation.
V. Sequence and series
1. Arithmetic sequence, geometric sequence and harmonic sequence.
2. Sum to infinity terms and sum to n terms of the series.
3. Arithmetic geometric series.
VI. Complex numbers
1. Definition and basic concept of complex numbers.
2. Scalar Operation on complex numbers.
3. Conjugate and absolute value of a complex numbers.
4. Square root, cube roots and their properties.
5. Polar form and De-Moivers theorem and its application.

VII. Vectors
1. Definition, basic concept of vector
algebra and vector geometry.
2. Dot product and Cross product of
vectors.
VIII. Set, Function and Relation
1. Definition, Method of describing sets, subsets, Operation on sets and cardinality of
sets and set theory .
2. Definition and types of function, Inverse of a function, composite function,
transcendental function.
3. Domain and Range, Symmetricity, odd and even function, Periodicity of function,
graph of linear, quadratic, cubic, trigonometrical, exponential, hyperbolic & logarithm
function.

IX. Probability
1. Trials, Events, Mutually exclusive/Inclusive events, Dependent and independent
events.
2. Addition and Multiplication theorem of probability and their applications.
XI. Co-Ordinate Geometry
1. Distance formula, Section formula, mid-point formula, Centroid of a triangle, ortho-
center, circum-center, in-center, slopes and intercepts.
2. Equation of straight lines in different condition.
3. Angle between two straight lines, parallel and perpendicular lines
4. Area of triangles and quadrilateral.
5. Pair of straight lines, homogenous equation of second degree, general form of second
degree equation, equation of angle bisectors between pair of lines.
XII. Trigonometry
1. Measurement of angle, Compound angles, multiple angles, sub multiple angles and
their properties.
2. Trigonometrical ratios, properties and values.
3. Inverse circular function.
4. Conditional identities, Properties of triangle, general solution of trigonometrical
equation.
5. Height and distance.

XIII. Calculus
1. Limit and continuity.
2. Derivatives.
3. Application of derivatives.
4. Anti-derivatives.

Additional topics for 3rd, 4th and 5th round.

XIX. Permutation and combination.


1. Basic principle of counting.
2. Total no of permutations of n distinct objects taken r at a time.
3. Circular permutation.
4. Permutations if the objects are no repeated.
5. Permutations if the objects can be repeated.
6. Combination of the n distinct objects taken r at a time.
7. Combinations if the objects are repeated.
8. Mixture problem of Permutation and combination.

XX. Binomial Theorem


1. Expansion of (𝑎 + 𝑥)𝑛
2. General term, middle terms in the expansion of (𝑎 + 𝑥)𝑛
3. Binomial coefficient.
4. Application of binomial theorem.
5. Exponential and logarithm series.

XXI. Conic Section


1. Equation of circle, equation of tangents and normal to the circle.
2. Ellipse, parabola and hyperbola.

XXII. Calculus
1. Anti-derivatives ( both general and standard integral )
2. Application of anti-derivatives .
3. Differential Equation

Time: 100 minutes
Note: Questions are general, Logical and IQ based [Mostly grade 10, 11 and 12
syllabus].

Dear Students of Grade 11/12, Science, and Management who are studying mathematics,

We would like to inform you that participation in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the Olympiad is
mandatory for all students in your category. Additionally, this Olympiad serves as an integral
part of your project work for the 2nd term and contributes to your practical marks for the
board exams.

Here's a breakdown of the marks associated with each round of the Olympiad:

Participants in the 1st and 2nd rounds will receive 5 marks.


Participants in the 3rd round and beyond will receive 7 marks and so on.
As an added incentive, there are prizes to be won for outstanding performance:
1st Place - Mathematics Genius: Rs. 10,000/- along with a medal and certificate.
2nd Place - Mathematics Lover: Rs. 8,000/- along with a medal and certificate.
3rd Place - Mathematics Crazy: Rs. 5,000/- along with a medal and certificate.
4th Place - Mathematics Learner: Rs. 3,000/- along with a medal and certificate.
5th Place - Mathematics Follower: Rs. 2,000/- along with a medal and certificate.

We encourage all eligible students to participate and strive for excellence in this Olympiad.

 1st and 2nd round are compulsory for all students of grade 11/12, science and
management who study mathematics.
 This Olympiad fulfill the project work for 2nd term, also it is countable for practical
marks of board.
 Participant in 1st and 2nd round get 5 marks
 Participant in 3rd round get 7 marks and so on.
