Name the stage: Initiative vs. Guilt and the age: 3-6 years old
The focus of this stage is play, as it allows children to explore interpersonal skills through
initiating activities. Children can begin to think for themselves and plan activities, complete
tasks and face challenges.
For example, in the story, the third little pig always planned to deal with the wolf's plots and
successfully defeated the wolf and will not be harmed by the wolf again.
Why? Because this is a good moral education story, it helps children realize that they must
work hard to succeed and will not be harmed.
