A decision has been made to suspend public and private schools and
universities for all students in the State of Qatar starting tomorrow, Tuesday,
until further notice, as part of efforts and measures the country is taking to
contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and to ensure the safety of
students in all government and private educational institutions.

The Ministry of Public Health urges all citizens and residents to avoid
gatherings in public places, to avoid travel for the time being except if
absolutely necessary, and to apply preventive measures to protect against
infection as recommended by the Ministry on its website and social media
accounts.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) contact centre at the Ministry of Public Health is

accessible around the clock for any reports or enquiries regarding the virus
using the toll-free phone number (16000).
